February 13, 2008 | | great album, but felt rushed... | |
This is a great album, and the production quality is outstanding, but within a song or two I really noticed they upped the Beats-Per-Minute on every track from the original album versions and the whole things sort of felt rushed... especially the Medley, reminded me of Weird Al Yankovich's Polka medleys, if you know what I mean... :)
January 4, 2008This is a really good Steel Pulse album. Its not as essential as True Democracy, Handsworth Revolution, Tribute to the Martyrs, or African Holocaust, but it is really good. My favorite is the 14 minute long Medley Medley. Buy this if you're a true Steel Pulse fan.
August 13, 2007Steel Pulse is one of the best reggae bands too few people know. To see them live is a real treat. This is a live album, and they sound very true to their original recordings, but with the added excitement of having a live audience.
September 19, 2005As a steel pulse fan, I have to say this is my favorite album from the group. Songs like "Klu Klux Klan", "Medley Medley", and "Bodygaurd" are the best songs on the CD but there really isn't a bad song on the enire album. When I bought the CD I could not stop litening to it for months. Its just goes to show how incredible Steel Pulse is live. If you are a Steel Pulse fan I would highly recommend this album. This is roots reggae at its finest...NO DANCEHALL! It makes me sick that reggae is turning into hip-hop/pop. Artists like Steel Pulse are helping to keep reggae the way it should be.
