Christina Aguilera

Weak debut.

Christina Aguilera's debut album had some really cheesy and manufactured songs. She sold a lot of albums and won a Grammy for Best New Artist, and the girl can sing her damn heart out but this album is pure candy-coated fluff. The songwriting is horrible, songs like Come On Over (All I Want Is You), Genie In a Bottle, What A Girl Wants, When You Put Your Hands On Me, and I Turn To You, these songs never make you want to come back for me. Only three tracks prove X-tina can belt, Blessed, Reflection, and So Emotional. This album didn't showcase what this girl could really do, it's disposal pop and I am so glad they don't make this kind of music anymore. March 6, 2008

WHAT A GREAT VOICE!!!

I love this artist, this girl is a tremendous hit!!! and this is her real first album; i like the dancing tracks like GENNIE IN A BOTTLE, COME ON OVER (ALL I WANT IS YOU), SO EMOTIONAL and LOVE FOR ALL SEASONS;It has the great ballads REFLECTION (from Disney's Mulan), I TURN TO YOU, OBVIOUS and WHAT A GIRL WANTS; If you have MI REFLEJO, you can hear some of this songs in their Spanish versions, but in the case of WHAT A GIRL WANTS the rhythm is different if you compare the MI REFLEJO'S version UNA MUJER (but the song is the same). One of the greatest female voices of the 21th Century!!! February 24, 2008

Christina's debut a grand slam

This is a very strong debut from Christina. Her voice is very powerful and can seem very strong one moment and shift into very soft and tender the next. She has vocal abilities that are very rare and she shows them well on hits such as Genie in a Bottle, What a Girl Wants, I Turn to You and Come on Over. A very strong album. November 23, 2007

Britney your debut was trash Christina yours was tha bomb

The grammys got it right when Xtina beat Brit for best new artist six years ago all of Christina's albums are off the hook compare to only one Britney album.Now that's said lets get to the music!!!

Track 1 Genie in the bottle 10/10 the most imfamous song on the album and one of the best
Track 2 What a girl wants 9/10 the second number 1 hit of the album and one of my all time favs
Track 3 I turn to you 3/10 the first top 5 song from the album but this is my least favorite song
Track 4 So emotional 10/10 this is one of the best songs on the album i love this r&b flavor track
Track 5 Come on over baby 5/10 the third number 1 hit of the album its also a cool dance song
Track 6 Relflection 3/10 i like the movie version better but Xtina's voice is top notch
Track 7 Love for all seasons 9/10 another one of my favs this is a great song
Track 8 Somebodys somebodys 4/10 its okay could have been better
Track 9 When you put your hands on be 3/10 also one of my least favorites
Track 10 Blessed 6/10 i love it i hate it
Track 11 love will find a way 8/10 another great dance track
Track 12 Obvious 1/10 i just can not like this one

Pure soul

When I first heard her voice, I was stunned. She shouldnt be compared to the talent-less Brittney Spears, Christina's voice is pure soul and r&b.
This album is one of my favorites. The best songs, in my opinion,had an R&B flavor b/c that ultimately does her voice the most justice.
So Emotional 10/10, Somebody's Somebody 9/10, Genie In a Bottle 7/10, Obvious 9/10, When you put your hands on me 9/10 and Reflectino 7/10 to me are the best tracks. Great buy! July 9, 2007
