Okay, we have some good songs listed on this cd. Flip side is we have some damn good songs that aren't included here. Where's Titanic? Where's Out of the Dark? I know it's hard to narrow down songs to include on one cd of Greatest Hits. The cd is still good even if we're missing a lot of songs that I think should be included in the release. I think I'm going to name the highlights off this cd instead of doing the rank system I did for the Falco 3 review. My favorite songs off this Greatest Hits cd include: Rock Me Amadeus, Der Kommissar, Vienna Calling, Junge Roemer, Jeanny, Hoch Wie Nie, Macho Macho, Zuviel Hitze, Helden Von Heute, Maschine Brennt, and Auf Der Flucht.

I realize some of the other reviewers on this page have valid complaints. A lot of people might get this cd and scratch their head because they don't recognize the songs listed or they've never even heard of the songs on the cd. I think my best advice is to track down this cd on a website that has song samples or go to YouTube and see if you can find the songs over there. Listen to as many as you can find. Buy the cd if you like what you hear. Go buy Falco 3 if you're interested in Rock Me Amadeus and that's the main reason you want/bought the cd. June 17, 2008

as a huge 80s and falco fan, this disc let me down. only a couple of the song sound like i rememberd hearing on the radio. you might be better off buying a diferent falco album, like falco 3. when i was a kid in the 80s i fell in love with "rock me amadeus" and that song is ok, but the komisar doesnt sound right, and the remix at the end has nothing of the origional songs apeal. Limited to his first three releases and like most "Greatest Hits" packages, the recording label always seems to leave off the essential material. Falco's Greatest Hits from "BMG" is no exception. What you have here is what "Buddha Records" (obviously not "real" Falco fans) believes to be the relevant Falco recordings. And that's a shame because, even though they've finally re-mastered some of his material (and deservedly so), this should hardly be considered his "Greatest Hits". The omissions are plentiful here. In fact, they would have done Falco more justice if BMG released this as a double CD. But then they would have had to re-master even more of his material. Parrish the thought of that. I'm not sure that tracks like "America" and "Munich Girls" would be considered "Hits" (in the traditional sense of the word) or would even be included on a bootleg hits package when you consider what's left off. No "Ihre Tochter", "Steuermann" or "No Answer (Hallo Deutschland)" (which were huge video treasures from the short film "Helden Von Heute"). "Nur Mit Dir" and the classic "Einzelhaft" were also neglected. What's tragic here is, if you already own "Falco 3"...you're merely re-purchasing it. As the entire 1985 release is presented with the exception of a handful of songs. And that's unfortunate when you consider that "3" wasn't even his best release. However, this compilation is worthy of purchase for Jason Nevins' thunderous radio mix of the classic "Der Kommissar".

I don't understand most of what Falco is saying, but I don't care. The music is cool and catchy. Der Kommissar is the best -- don't get the one by "After The Fire" . . . they butchered it. Falco, RIP! March 27, 2007

It was purchased for my 16 year old daughter, but I gave it a listen and remembered a couple of the hits. It brought me right back to 1983-84,Oh Highschool! Fun music from a fun time, you can't go wrong. January 12, 2007
