This is the True Terror Squad - Pun (RIP), Link, and SEIS. Leave it to Fat Joe to continue to live off the success of PUN. There was, is, and always will be only ONE Terror Squad and here they are at the finest. Pun's rap in "Triple Threat" has to be one of the greatest verses of all time. Even Biggie would have to agree. February 12, 2007

rating: 5 QuoteThe best Terror Squad album (4 and 1/2 stars)Quote
This album came out when Big Pun was still alive and when Cuban Link and Triple Seis was still a part of the group. Even though Big Pun's verses were fire, the other members of Terror Squad held their own on this stellar effort. Stndout Tracks: IN FOR LIFE, PASS THE GLOCK, WHATCH GON DO, TRIPLE THREAT, WAR, BRING IT ON, AS THE WORLD, GIMME DAT, FEELIN THIS, RUDEBOY SALUTE(memorable matchup with Buju Banton), and WWW.THATSMYS***.COM. Filler: 99 live, All around the world, Tell me what u want(corny chick record),and My Kinda Girls(get off the love potion s*** already damn!). Bottom Line: This album is must-have for anybody who remembers what they were before Cuban Link and Triple Seis left and Big Pun's Death.Everybody had their moments on this album(including Fat Joe). Now Terror Squad is about as pop as their leader(Fat Joke) and they even added a new member to the crew(Remy Barfin). A treasure troll whose rapstyle is just as bad as Joe's. Pick this album up and pretend that the album True Story never existed. January 24, 2007

It is a shame when you think about it, the original terror squad which consisted of Fat Joe,Big Pun,Cuban Link,Prospect,Armaggedon,Triple Seis and Tony Sunshine were in my opinion a serious up and coming group, their album is full of great tracks which did not stray from their formula of hard mobb deep type beats and hardcore rhymes. Pun is to no surprise the star on this album, his rhyming abilty outclasses everyone but saying that both Cuban Link and Armaggedon showed great promise that even after puns death these two could have held it together as serious rhymers;Prospect and Triple seis both put in a decent effort while it is clear that Tony Sunshine has a great singing voice. Fat Joe on the other hand is quite hit an miss but he was never that potent rhymer to begin with. The new TS unfortunatly due to a falling out within the group Cuban Link and Triple seis both left replacing them remy ma now represents part of the new terror squad which is just a shadow of it's former self. on the whole if you liked big puns debut album you may like this but if you bought the second TS album first and is expecting to hear another album with tracks like their single lean back then forget it, this is for hardcore hip hoppers only. It's very obvious when listening to this CD that Big Pun wrote the majority, if not the whole, album lyrically. That being said, it's not like anyone can't keep up with the flows he had in mind when he wrote the verses --- so it works. The beats on this cd are all real nice too.
