I never really paid much attention to Yvonne Ellimans' early career consisting of JC Superstar and supporting the comeback of EC as a backup singer. I must say that on late night FM radio, circa 1976, she did catch my attention with her truly beautiful and sentimental renditions of songs that made me buy her LP "Love Me", a song written and recorded by The Bee Gees. Friends told me she was Hawaiian - no point. In 1977-78 when the "Satuday Night Fever" movie and soundtrack were the rage everywhere, I had to ask someone Who? is singing "If I Cant Have You"- What- The first Gibb Brothers song to be a huge hit by someone else??? As my title states a Beautiful Lady Sings Beautiful Songs! Try it, you'll love it. November 8, 2007

The most extensive collection of Yvonne's hits. For example, "She'll Be The Home" which was the B side of "Hellow Stranger" can only be found on this disc. There are other great songs. The recording is excellent and leaves the listener yearning to locate all of Yvonne Elliman's albums that unfortunately have not been released on cd. March 11, 2007

There is only one who can sing the part of Maria Magdalena in the musical JC Superstar. Not one other performer I have heart, knows how to sing the part of Maria Magdalena. Yvonne Elliman is the only and the best. The CD is disapointing in comparison with her top-performence in the musical. July 17, 2006

I really feel that Yvonne was robbed by the music industry. She never got the chance to shine like she should have been able to.

I like this whole CD, except for "I'm Gonna Use What I Got." That song is horrible! I wish they had put "More Than One, Less Than Five" on here.

Due to this CD is out of print, go on ebay and purchase it. It's amazing! October 30, 2005

It seems to me if some reviewers like a singer, they will ignore the best, most heartfelt songs in favor of a cover tune or mere commercial hit. Those songs deserve credit and you'll find 100% good stuff to show Ms. Elliman's true but underappreciated talent. Still, I cannot imagine not putting "I Can't Get You Out of My Mind" at the very top of the list. It should be on a separate album with other tunes where unabashed declarations of love are included, like "I Was Made to Love Her" and "You Got it All Over Him". Yvonne makes it so believable. In any case, you cannot go wrong by buying this piece of work. Highly recommended. October 14, 2004
