This is not his best recording but I love it anyway. Falco tries several experiments: some succeed, some don't. July 4, 2008

I can't offer the background on this cd. I'm not sure if the songs on this cd were all supposed to be on other Falco cds and Falco dropped them for whatever reason or if the songs appeared on other non-Falco cds and the people in Falco's team decided to pool the songs together and release this cd after Falco's death. I'm not sure. I do know this is an awesome cd. I don't skip any of the tracks when I'm listening to it. That's the funny thing I find about Falco's cds. I admit he has a few weak tracks imo but even those weak tracks are worth listening to and not worth skipping.

Let me give you a heads up for a couple of things. 1) THIS ISN'T A SOUNDTRACK! I definitely want to emphasize that. This cd is actually done by Falco...all tracks are sung by him. The cd with the yellow font is the soundtrack to Verdammt Wir Leben Noch. And the second heads up involves the DK remix. I have to admit I prejudged and sorta groaned when I saw a DK remix was listed on the track listing. I love the regular version of DK but I'm sorta tired of Falco's team trotting out DK remixes. I listened to the track once I bought it and it amazed me by how good it was. It's just as good as the regular DK song. I would run through a list of the songs and rank them but I figured that'd be a waste of time because every song on this cd is top notch. 5 stars for all the songs.

And one more thing...the album booklet has some great Falco pics inside. Lovely photography. June 17, 2008

The Album "Verdammt wir leben noch" may be better than many people think, and some of the songs are really great-I think of the Hymn "Europa", "Krise"-a techno-song- or eg "Die Königin von Eschnapur". Only the two remixes at the end, also one of Club 69, aren't too good...All in all it's an amazing lp which reflects Falco's qualities in an impressing way. October 29, 1999
