There are song great songs on this LP though. Most of the album is credited by the production, which was always kept withing Cash Money (mostly Mannie Fresh). One song I always loved to play was "A Million And One", because they way the Hot Boyz rapped on that song, especially Lil Wayne (for the record: I used to enjoy Wayne at one point before his ego blew up). Also the production there is excellent. "Da Magnolia" featuring Mannie Fresh is another song with excellent production.
Lyrically, Juve wasn't too great. In fact, he never was, but you don't have to be a great lyricist or rapper to get your point across. "Tha G Code" featuring Lil Wayne is great from a lyrical standpoint. Also "Tha Man" is another standout that features Turk. And I hate people rapping about cars and cash just as much as the next person (especially since I've grown up), but "Neva Had ****" is solid. And Juve teams up with B.G. for another dirty sex song which is alright (remember "Dog ***" from B.G.'s album).
What weighs this album is alot of skip material. A lot of songs really go nowhere, such as "Take 'Em 5". "Lil Boyz" featuring Lil Wayne and Big Tymers is boring and weak. "Somethings Got 2 Shake" is really forgettable lyrically and production wise. And I said, Juve lyrically isn't too good. So don't expect to be blown away on the lyrical side of things.
Tha G-Code is a real solid album. I warn you not to expect a lot from this album. Cash Money really had their hands tied with other projects back in '99 with albums such as the Hot Boyz Guerrilla Warfare and B.G.'s Chopper City in the Ghetto (as soon as I find that tape, I'll be back in business), so you can tell that some of the songs are completely worn out. I believe Juve had a huge buzz from his previous album (mainly the song "Back That Thang Up"), so he had to hurry and put out an album to show he wasn't a one hit wonder. I recommend this to those who were fans of Cash Money back in the day when they dominated the airwaves. Peace.

| Well cooked, but not at 400 Degrees; Very well done |
Between the time the Biggie Smalls died and for the hit single "Ha" hit the radio, all other rappers were good, but nothing special about them. Hell the top rappers at that time were silkk tha shocker and DMx. Like I said good but not great.
Then some cat came from out of nowhere asking you a whole bunch of questions about everyday life. It seemed stupid at first. But after a while you said " Damn, Juvenile may been on to somethin". Then you find yourself buying his CD at Best Buy or Target instead from dude around the corna. Half way through the CD, you say " Damn, Juvenile on Fire (which is #17 on 400 degrees), but can he come out with another good CD?
Then he hit yo ass with G Code and you realize that he is a living legend. Not as explosive as 400 Degrees, but its hot enough to burn ya. Yes you will bump this everytime your in the hood, and yes u will find yourself buying other Juvenile albums.
All and all, great album by one of the all time greats. March 13, 2006

But I have to also admit this cd sucks.
If you are late to the whole bling era like I was, DO NOT COPP this cd! Get BG's Chopper city in the Ghetto. That was at least 601 degreez.
I'm sorry. I'm a hardcore hotboys fan, but I will never think Juve is a good rapper. EVER! I will continue to copp his cds for collectors sake.
