Most people do not give the LOX the credit they deserve. Their lyrics and beats are some of the best. The only flaw is that in some of the songs you will find yourself anticipating Jadakiss' verse not really paying attention to Styles and Sheek. The difference in skill is too obvious in most cases.

I hated their first album on Bad Boy with a passion. I found it boring and popish. This album is alot better than that trash. The Lox go back to what made them famous on the underground circuit. Their rhymes are a lot better, the production is tight and they sounded like they had fun doing this album. You want to know how dope this album is? Check out F*** You(oldie but goodie), Can I Live(feat Kasino), Breathe Easy, Recognize, Ya'll F****d Up Now and You Told Me. Every member has a solo joint they shine on. Felony N****s(Styles P), Blood Pressure(Jadakiss--my favorite) and Bring It On. This album has a few bumps and bruises. Ryde Or Die B**** and If You Know feat Swizz Beatz, Drag-on and Eve are corny as hell. I like their diss track to Puffy but Im not fond of it being censored. Other than that this album is great and showed you the potential for greatness they had before Bad Boy corrupted them. Standout tracks: F--K YOU, CAN I LIVE, BREATHE EASY, WILD OUT, BLOOD PRESSURE, RECOGNIZE, YALL F---ED UP NOW, U TOLD ME, FELONY N---AS, SCREAM L O X, and WE ARE THE STREETS.
September 25, 20061999 was a great year for the Lox. The whole crew proved they were all nasty on this one. The beats were sizzling, and the content as hard as concrete.Their solo albums were great, but this collabo album took the cake.
July 21, 2006The Lox are the hardest group out right now I mean look at who is in the group Styles P (AKA The Ghost), Jadakiss and Sheek Louch. Can't get better than this the whole album is hard as hell and I noticed some haters on here but that is okay they don't know what they are talking about. The album is worth listening too I have no favorites because I like all of the songs. Hopefully they will come out with another album like this. I recommend this to all Rap fans worth your money.
May 6, 2006 | | My second favorite album of 2000! Strong music from Swizz Beatz! | |
This was my second favorite album of 2000 after NSYNC's No Strings Attached! This never left my car stereo most of the first 6 months I heard it! I even played it on I-95 in Maryland between Baltimore and Newark, Delaware in July of 2000 The Lox proved that they had a hot album! Swizz Beatz did most of the album and everything all clicks! Jadakiss' tough lyrics, Styles' philosophical style and Sheek Louch's street feel with a laidback approach just connected with the songs. Swizz Beatz just nailed it on most of the songs. His addictive keyboards, dramatic chord changes and funky, kinetic beats just match well with the group's street lyrics. I liked the Timbaland offering Ryde or Die with Eve. This is far, far better than the overly commercial Puffy-dominated debut on Bad Boy, the one most people would like to forget. This second effort proves that these Yonkers brothers are the streets and wanted to take their New York shine back!
