I bought this cd to get one song, "Don't Fear the Reaper." I found the rest of the music just ok. I often purchase cds for one song. August 14, 2008

'Dont Fear the Reaper'is such a great tune! The entire cd rocks. Brings back memories of the 80's. I bought this to get reaquainted with the songs, I am going to see a show in July at the Santa Cruz Beachboardwalk 'free' beach concert series. Anyone out there, dont forget Eddie Money is coming back this year. You can also get Money Mans music here!
Once listening to the cd, I started to recall all of the songs I had not heard in so long. Its fun, you should too buy it. May 29, 2008

rating: 5 QuoteThe most well-rounded BÖC compilation out thereQuote
Out of the many BÖC compilations to date, "Don't Fear the Reaper" remains the most well-trimmed without removing too much of the meat. Although it would've made sense to add just one more cut each from the first two records - "Then Came the Last Days of May" and "Hot Rails to Hell" come to mind - most every album from the band's classic era gets adequate representation here and yes, the essential title track is of course present, guitar solo and all. Furthermore, no single edits were included on the disc whatsoever - a fitting consideration for BÖC's more album-oriented approach to music. Best of all, because this particular disc only spans the groups '72-'83 output, there's no talk of dancing in the ruins or feeling hungry to be found here. January 4, 2008
