User Reviews
Average user review:Her voice is a strange mix of almost babyish gurgle mixed with Marge Simpson and she sounds like anyone the world over does first thing in the morning after a night out on the tiles.
This is an excellent song, a tale of woe, a tale of hope and a fine excuse for our Macy to get down with a mighty fine song that's both radio friendly and a super cool anthem.
All is fine and dandy on planet Macy - this will make you smile and sing your lil' heart out. Respect! September 11, 2001
like it...ALOT!1
macy Grey has a wonderful voice. She is some what different than other popstars. I try really gets you in the mood for dancing! August 23, 2001
This single has the most bangin' remixes
I'm giving this disc 5 stars for the remixes especially for the JayDee remix, he reinvented the song. The original song is incredible as well. Though the price tag may be high, the songs are worth it. March 8, 2001
YUCK!
This woman can't sing! The song is good but her voice is awful. The chorus sing better than her. Save your money for better albums! February 24, 2001
Macy Gray : I Try (On How Life Is)
This single was first featured on the soundtrack to the 1998 film 'The Object of my affection starring Jennifer Aniston, following which it was also released on Macy's debut album, from which it was released as the second single. Macy's incredible voice should be heard to be believed, which is why this review ends here. Its absolutely divine, utterly incomparable. October 24, 2000
