The Corrs - In Blue

Greatness

When I was younger, I used to love the Corrs. I still do, and I think their music has grown with the generations. 'In Blue' is their catchiest album and it's got the whole glitzy, glam, powerpop that makes you want to dance and sing along. Their most 'known' hits were from this album - and with good reason - this one is the most marketable, music industry wise.

One of my favorite all-time albums

This album is one of the most pop-ish sounding offerings from the Corrs. It is danceable and catchy (Breathless, Irresistible, Radio, Rebel Heart) and contemplative (Give Me a Reason, One Night, Hurt Before). When I listen to music I mainly want to be feeling good. The slower and more melancholic tunes are needed to balance out the effect, so to speak. This album does all that I want perfectly.

There are some more memorable Corrs songs on other albums, but this one has the most danceable songs. Sometimes I need to bop my shoulders a bit. February 17, 2008

Great pop with incredible vocal harmonies...

Normally my music preferences are hard rock/metal(child of the late 70's and 80's), but I really like this album. I came across it in a used bin and decided to take a chance on it because I liked the single Breathless, I'm glad I did. The Songs are simple pop songs with great melodies and the Irish influence that is mixed in definitely adds to the music. The standout feature, to me, are the vocal harmonies. Andrea Corr has a beautiful voice, and the harmonies provided by the rest of the Corrs are perfect. The production on the album was provided by Mutt Lange, so you know it's pristine in it's quality.

Song Highlights include: Breathless, Give Me A Reason, All The Love In The World, Radio, No More Cry and Rebel Heart(a cool instrumental).

This is pop music with the added bonus that the band has a great deal of musical talent, which makes it stand out(at least to me). If you like simple pop songs you will like In Blue. April 21, 2007

um, cost effective?

how can anyone dispute the amount of musical bang you get for around 3 bucks including shipping with this cd? I think that Radio and One Night are fine tunes. This cd is one very cost effective collection of music, so don't hesitate to buy it. February 12, 2007

Plenty of used copies of this

I saw the Corrs on some cable channel concert and kinda liked them. This cd didn't do them justice--it's too canned, too produced, too nowhere. The single Breathless sounds great at loud volumes, but the rest of the tunes never take off. I bought mine from a used dealer for a buck. With postage it left me wondering if I'd ever buy another Corrs cd for the same price. December 29, 2006
