This is the soundtrack you want to buy, can't find it in the States. The black cover album doesn't do justice to the original movie soundtrack, spend the money and get what you really want the true music from the movie.

Ghost Dog: You know, in ancient cultures, bears were considered equal with men.

Hunter: This ain't no ancient culture here, mister.

Ghost Dog: Sometimes it is. May 6, 2008

Was hoping for a lot more on this album than what's there. Has some great tunes and is the music track to the movie. But, unlike the movie which I believe has a certain sense of humour throughout it, the CD tends to drag a bit and is too repeatable. For a fan of the film, for a "same-same" its ok. For someone wanting more on the film, wanting to improve or expand the Ghost Dog experience - its a bit of a let down. February 29, 2008

About the missing "jazzy" song--I remember watching this movie and hearing Andrew Cyrille and Jimmie Lyons playing "Nuba One." I thought it was pretty surprising, considering the song is pretty far out for a Hollywood movie. The song is available on the "Nuba" album (first track), and you should be able to find a used copy here on Amazon. Too bad they didn't include it on the soundtrack--I thought it was a great part of the film and really set the tone. I hope this helps you in some way! May 4, 2007

The song that he plays in the car, it sounds like it's a jazz song. Its not on the OG soundtrack and it's neither on the Japanese soundtrack. (I own both).

Ghost Dog plays it in the car while it's raining, and no not the Rap song in the beginning of the movie or Reggae song I have those, I need the jazzy instrumental song, that's what I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance. April 17, 2007

This version of the soundtrack a vastly superior to the US version...the dope beats throughout seem to divide into two seperate songs. The two tracks with participation by the rest of the Wu Tang Clan are especially fine. January 18, 2006
