| she's better than..... |
i'm not saying this because she's pretty, well, to be honest, i never into britney, just annoys me, i always look for unique and special, well, willa has done a good number, may be it's just the song itself but she definitely develop it perfectly, the remixes? well, sad to say this, i was actually giving a 5 stars for this single but the remixes just turn me off, the original will do and it's the best, may be better get her album instead of her single, well, personal opinion, no offense! tehe! | This song BLOWS! |
| You Know I Love Her..... |
Now that that's out of the way, this is one of my very favorite artists so far this year. She's strong, talented, attractive, and she isn't afraid of who she is. Really, I mean, with all the phoniness in pop music right now (I'm not even going to mention who I'm talking about, but you know.), Willa is a breath of fresh air with strong lyrics, fun songs, and great rythms. Even if she doesn't have the vocal ability of Christina Aguilera, well, not too many do.
This single proves my point. With the dance mixes, teasing lyrics, and overall flirtatious feeling, it's one of her best. I think the second version (The one feat. Royce) is the best version, though not the original.
And she writes her own songs! No one who writes their own songs ever seems to get the props for doing it, but Ms. Williford: You've done an excellent job.
You can feel what she's going through on her debut album "Willa Was Here," and really appreciate her best in "Tired." And I don't think the track has that much to do with being a singer. Everyone was criticizing and making fun of her while she was dating a boy band member who I won't name. Everyone is still accusing her of mooching record deals by involving herself in a relationship with him. Well, maybe she did. But shame IS the game you play for fame, and someone needs to say it. Why not pop's bad girl? The song isn't about being a world-famous singer. No! Not at all! It's about being bashed all the time because of her past.... October 25, 2001
