Even after all this time i am still playing & enjoying this CD,why may you ask?

The songs are simply first rate with strong melodies that only Tim Finn can write.I urge anyone who is a fan of Split Enz/Crowded House or who loves great music to buy this CD you will not regret it. January 10, 2003

The Comeback Kid

On his latest release, Tim Finn sings "I'll never know what came over me." He's probably referring to his last album, Say It Is So, which was a muddled mess and not the kind of heartfelt melodic pop/rock we've come to expect from Tim.

Fortunately, he has returned to a more familiar form with Feeding The Gods... Superior songwriting, hummable melodies, clear vocals. It's harder-rocking than his classics Before and After, Big Canoe, and Escapade, but Tim doesn't over-reach, which is where I think he went wrong with his previous album. December 19, 2002

Rocktastic new album!

Well, some people seemed a bit suspicious about his last solo effort 'Say It Is So'(2000)....but if people arn't convinced with this album they never will be.
Tim Finn has come out with an album with more energy and passion than anything in his back catalogue. I still put it on and am amazed at what Im listening to.
Having been in the shadow of brother neils work of late, this should put his name right out there. Even the most ardent Neil fan would fins it hard not to like it better than Neils last release One nil.

Tim Finn's best album ever!

Before I go any further: this is an EXCELLENT album, buy it, play it LOUD over and over and over again. This is Tim Finn's best album ever. To say this of an artist with a distinguished 30 year career is saying a lot. Tim penned the lion-share of Split Enz's hits, co-wrote Crowded House's `Woodface' album (Weather with You, etc.) and has 6 solo albums to his name with hits like (Fraction too Much Friction, Persuasion, etc.). Yet `Feeding the Gods' is his crowning moment. Even taken at face value, without the Finn name, the album sounds fresh, energetic, direct and deceptively simple and there isn't a single weak moment. Other artists would [do anything] for something like this. At the end of the 40 minutes you'll find yourself slightly dazed, somewhat confused, certainly out of breath and happily reaching for the replay button. September 7, 2002

WONDERFUL ALBUM

This is the most enjoyable new album I've purchased in some time. From the very first listen the whole album was such an easy and rewarding listen. I was somewhat disappointed with the his last album "Say it is So" but this album is a perfect combination of guitar driven music and Tim Finn's excellent melody driven songwriting. The song's that stand out are Songline, Say It Is So, Dead Man and Incognito in California. I have all of Tim's solo albums and this is unquestionably the best. August 7, 2002
