In my opinion, this is one of LeAnn's best album's yet. Sure, she started out singing country music, however, people forget that this lady can sing anything.

Alot of people seem to hate this album, but if you're a true fan of LeAnn Rimes, you will love this album, even if it isn't country.

I find all of the ballads on this album sung beautifully. And she rocks it out with Twisted Angel at the end.

Stop bashing the album and give it a try. June 14, 2008

LeAnn is the artist that got me into Country Music from her song "Blue" on her Debut album. I have followed her career ever since. When this album came out I was so excited to here "pop" from her. Her previous "Country" albums, after her debut album, I honestly didn't care for. Yet I still bought them because each time one came out I was hoping for the sparkle again. To me her previous albums had maybe one or two good songs on the CDs and the rest were fillers. So when this CD came out, I couldn't wait. I loved the songs. Her voice, production of songs, etc, I thought this was going be the album to blast her off to Pop Stardom. This of course didn't. But there are still good songs on here: Life Goes On, Wound Up, Trouble With Goodbye, Twisted Angel. I thought the lyrics were poignant (according to the booklet she wrote or co-wrote these songs) and maybe autobiographic. I'm not sure why there was such a back lash against her when this album came out. I would rather an artist experiment with different genres (or style of music) which makes them grow as an artist, plus who wants to buy the same sounding CD over and over again. To me that shows no growth professionally. I love her voice. That's probably the only reason why I kept buying her albums. There are only a couple that I still listen to: Twisted Angel, This Woman, Blue & her Greatest Hits. All the others are forgotten. April 21, 2008

I'm writting this for my wife; and she says it's a great CD to listen to if "You need to cheer up 'cause it's chipper" or something like that. February 15, 2008

I bought this album the day that it was released in 2002. I think the album is definitely full of hits and wonderful music. People tend to put artists in a box and that has happened here. Country will never, for some reason, let go of LeAnn Rimes. To that end, Pop audiences will never fully warm up to her. She has had many pop hits and lots of her country hits could be pop hits as well. Anyway, off my soapbox, this album is my favorite LeAnn Rimes album from beginning to end. It's wonderful. I wish more videos were made and singles were released. This album is the best. August 29, 2007

Can't believe it is 2007 and I have only just discovered this GEM of a CD. I love the 'whole album' statement, where a story thread runs through the song cycles, Jane Siberry-like (When I Was A Boy). While I like the opening songs very much, this CD really takes off for me at Tic Toc, and just soars from that point onward. Unlike some other reviewers, I love "Sign Of Life." For anyone who's ever been knocked around by life a bit and picked themselves up again, you'll relate. "Love is an Army"? A small slice of magic. The aural effects, like the water at the end of "Review My Kisses," are thoughtful, lovely touches. Leann, would love to hear you stretch out like this again. You go, girl!!! May 25, 2007
