I got this cd recently and i really like it. So here is my review:

1. Help Me-3:09-10/10: 1st single of the cd. Produced by Matthew Gerrard. This is kind of like a "finding yourself" song. he asks questions and at the end of the chorus, sings "Just what my purpose is here."

2. My Confession-3:50-9/10: Produced by Gary Clark and Martin Brammer. Nick co-wrote this song. It opens with acoustic guitar, but builds toward the chorus. My favorite part is the pre-chorus: "And i want you to know when you're floating in space..."

3. I Stand For You-3:07-10/10: Produced by Brian Kierulf and Josh Schwartz. Nick co-wrote it. Great opening and sound. This song gears him more towards rock a little. It's about how sometimes you need to get away from your problems and can do anything you want to.

4. Do I Have To Cry For You-3:37-10/10: 2nd single and Frist ballad of the album. Produced by Brian Kierulf and Josh Schwartz. Nick co-wrote it. It opens with a piano and then at the end of the song, ends up as a big dramatic ballad.

5. Girls In The USA feat Mr. Vegas-4:07-9/10: Produced by Steve Mac. Nick co-wrote it. He gives shoutouts to girls in different states and says they have been good to him.

6. I Got You-3:57-10/10: The 3rd single. Produced by Max Martin and Rami. I can't really call this a ballad, yet it's not an uptempo track either. It's somewhere in the middle. But it's a nice song though. I can really relate to the lyrics.

7. Is It Saturday Yet?-3:14-10/10: Produced by Gary Clark and Martin Brammer. Nick co-wrote it. This is one of my favorite songs off the album. A real uptempo song, with some lines that describe some teenagers, like me. "She won't stop screaming and I don't want to understand..."

8. Blow Your Mind-3:34-20/10- Produced by Max Martin, Rami, and Par Aldeheim. My favorite song off the album. This song is probably the most rock-type song on this album. It's about a girl taking advatage of him for his fame, yet he still likes her. My favorite part in the song, is right before the chorus when he says, "And i will blow your mind!".

9. Miss America-3:54-9/10: Produced by Mark Taylor. A song with very sensual lyrics. "Take it off, Take it off. Let's get it on, get it on." "In the land of the free, make a prisoner of me." You get the idea.

10. I Just Wanna Take You Home-2:55-10/10: Produced by Max Martin, Rami, and Par Aldeheim. This is another one of my favorites. A fun upbeat song, with great lyrics. "Tell me that you feel the same. Someone please explain. Why we have to play games, instead of just saying."

11. Heart Without A Home (I'll Be Yours)-4:46-6/10: Produced by Steve Mac. I'm not really into this song. The lyrics are good, don't get me wrong. But the beat just dosn't appeal to me. But that's my opineon.

12. Who Needs The World-3:30-10/10: Produced by The Matrix. This is a great ballad that reminds me of my realtionship with my girlfriend. The song is basically "Who needs the world, when I've got you."

13. Scandalicious-2:57-10/10: Produced by Douglas Carr. Nick co-wrote it. It has that dance vibe to it. "Hot and scadalicious. So betime delicious." This song is worth buying the import.

14. Forever Rebel-3:48-10/10: Produced by Phil Thornalley. Nick co-wrote it. This is another rock-type song. The end to this song is a perfect ending to the album.

This is a side of Nick Carter, formally of the Backstreet Boys, that changes what I first thought of him. The album is total 180 from his original pop status. And now he wants to be a ROCK star. He does have the voice for it. Even though he still has the soft ballads like "Do I Have to Cry For You" and a up-beat tune "Help Me", no one can blame him. Songs like that helped launch his singing career. The album really does make you think of him as an adult. If Nick Carter keeps this up, he just might get a new following. I say this album is a A minus. July 5, 2003

This one is actually the European version of "Now or Never." Even if you're not a pop fan, you'll never regret spending your money on that CD because it's really worth every single penny. It's a fresh and fun album that strays away from all the overproduced stuff you hear these days. A bit of good ol' 80s rock sound. Plus the DVD is fun too - I like the part in Stockholm (you finally get to see what Max Martin looks like, too!!!) December 4, 2002
