Good performance, but poor sound quality

This could have been a better DVD, after being remastered, if only the quality of the sound was better. It is in stereo, and unless you can set your equalizer up to compensate for the poor sound, you will not enjoy it as much as some of the others released in Dolby digital 5.1. December 13, 2007

Two Rock Icons Rocked the Hollywood Bowl!

This DVD is a classic GEM. I feel like I uncovered a treasure! A live concert at the Hollywood Bowl in the 80s, of two iconic classic rock'n'roll legends on the same bill.

Rick Nelson does a set first of all of his hits -- mostly the 50s hits that made him a teen idol and superstar (Hello Marylou, I Got A Feelin', Travelin' Man, Garden Party).
Next up... Fats Domino really takes viewers back in time with classic 50s tunes (Blueberry Hill, I'm Ready, I Want to Walk You Home) that I didn't even know that I knew (I wasn't around in the fifties)....
An unforgettable moment in the concert is when Fats asks "Ricky" Nelson to come back onstage with him, and they BOTH perform "I'M WALKIN" as a duet. It was a hit for both of these legends with very different styles.
Their performances are FANTASTIC! It's 20+ years since they hit the charts with these songs... and they both look and sound GREAT! More importantly, they look like they're both having a BLAST on stage!

I had never seen this concert video before. It looks like it may have been recorded for a TV special or something. It's VERY WELL produced. Excellent production & sound! Great quality! I shared it with my parents (who were teens in the 50s) and they now desperately want a copy too.

This should be broadcast -- it's FABULOUS FUN!!! July 14, 2007
