Dido is awesome, but I would not pay $45 for a CD that only have 3 songs. It's in a way ridiculus.
February 9, 2007I love the song, but didnt realize that this only had the one song on it. There are two different versions of the song but it gets pretty old.
January 15, 2007For the life of me I can't quite put my finger on exactly what it is that makes this artist so appealing. Her lyrics are sophisticated enough, especially on White Flag with an extended metaphor that tugs at your thoughts. Yet, it's the music and her voice that create the real mystery- and magic. The apparent simplicity of the sound, what others have described as "dull" and "boring," I find enchanting. Dido's fetching habit of biting her lyrics off in short spurts is uncommmon in today's hip-hop-influenced world of unending and prolonged phrasing, but it is refreshingly clean and sensual. There's a clarity to this uncluttered styling. Indeed, it is her innocent manner, unfettered by needless repetition or superfluous overproduction, that seems to provide the understandable musical statement. Underneath it all, however, is an indefinable pulse that is both inviting and intriguing.
June 6, 2005 | | Another batch of bland dross. | |
I'm sorry but I just find this artist bland, boring, unimaginative and samish. There is not one of her songs I find cannot be mistaken for another and her voice could drive you to drink just to blot out it's irritating tone. This album is as equally souless as her last with another batch of dull, self indulgent and uninteresting songs.

The song is beautiful and simple. Just the way it should be. Its about her breaking up and not fighting the dissappointment. She caused enough damage while she was with the guy and is going to move on. There is nothing she can do about her feelings and the results of her actions. So she will 'Go Down with this Ship' and will always be in love because that is part of what she cannot change.
