rating: 5 Awesome album, Up in the Attic out in July
I bought this album on pretty much a whim a few weeks after it came out in 2003, and it seriously hasn't gotten old since. There are very few weak spots on this album, if any. I have close to 4,000 songs in iTunes and "Quiet" has been towards the top of my play count for a long time. The singles, "These Days" and "Glow" stick very easily. 1000 Days, Never Meant, Tia Lupe and Hope are also very good. The cd is a good balance between hard and soft and I like that they've done some different things with this album than they did with their first.

I originally didn't care too much for the debut album aside from Movies, Stranded and Attitudes, but Truant inspired me to go back and take another listen and I actually like the first album much better now that I've gone back. I've heard a sneak peak of some of the songs for the album coming out in July and I have a feeling its going to be excellent. Give these guys a chance, I'm sure you'll find something you like. rating: 5 AAF are musical Gods
If there's one thing I know, it is rock music
I am the come-to girl for all the people who want to listen to some good music, and I always know the good bands before they become famous... kind of what happened with this band. Still, after their "Smooth Criminal" hit on the radio, still many have forgotten who they are, or only know them by their one song.

This cd is good, as is ANThology. Hope is probabaly the best and my favorite song on this cd, although I see it does not get as good of a rating from other users. It is a very catchy and emotional song if you listen to it, so I recommend it. If you are thinking about also buying ANThology, listen to Attitude, which is my other favorite AAF song. You won't regret buying this cd. January 9, 2006

rating: 3 What Happened?
ANThology is one of my all time favourites American rock albums. Fortunately, I wasn't exposed to the "overhype" of the Smooth Crminal single, and I just fell in love with every song on the group's first major record. I bought truANT hoping to relive the sheer brilliance of its predecessor, however I was drastically let down. Now truANT is not a bad album at all. I describe it as being more listener-friendly. What's missing though is the great lyrics and insane music. The lead vocalist pulled a Fred Durst and screamed/sang in one of the songs. I didn't think that was necessary seing as ANThology didn't have any of that and was still rocking ie both albums are vastly different. What I'm saying is: if you really like ANThology, stay away from truANT and if you hated ANThology, you should try truANT. I bought the album truANT thinking that it would be as great as ANThology. Was I wrong. The lyrics were absolutely ridiculous!
'We'll take a trip for..around the world', 'I'll be the bumblebee behind you, baby' and 'I'll think of something positive and negative too'? What was that? That made no sense, and if it does to anyone out there, good for you. Alien Ant Farm went to pop, and badly too. What happened to this album?! July 6, 2005

rating: 5 Just Great!
Just as good as the first album. Here's how I rate the songs:

1000 Days- 10/10 Great song. Nice and dark-ish, just how I like it!
Drifting part- 9/10- Gets a little old after awhile, but it's still good.
Quiet- 10/10 This one is a great great great song! The chorus (spelling?) is just plain AWESOME! I love it.
Glow- 9/10 Used to be one of my faves, then I played it too much. Oh well.
These Days- 10/10 Catchy. Ver very very catchy. Its good though!
Sarah Wynn- 8/10 A song talking about a girl doing heroin. Not the greatest, but, (unusually for AAF) the lyrics ACTUALLY MAKE SENSE!!!!
Never Meant- 7/10 It's okay . . . Some people compare it to Orange Appeal. Nowhere near as good as Orange Appeal. But hey, at least it makes more sense than Orange Appeal!
Goodbye- 8/10 Its good, but I usually skip it to go to something more, umm, "exciting".
Tia Lupe- 10/10 This is a GOOD song, nice hispanic flair. Gotta listen to it a few times to actually get it, though.
Rubber Mallet- 9/10 This one's pretty good. Cable cars and North and Valentine must be special to them (Remeber Happy Death Day?) Oh well, can't expect much sense to come from them. And yet people say that they're a "clean group". Sure.
S.S. Recognize- 10/10 This song is GREAT. It sounds like the longest one, even though Tia Lupe is. Don't really know what its about, but, its still good! But the lyrics weren't in the booklet!!! AAH! Fortunately I found them on the Internet, so I'm saved!
Hope- 7/10 It's okay. Too slow. February 27, 2005
