As typical with high paced punk music, this is a short CD. The last song is okay for about 5 minutes then becomes annoying. Overall, a very solid effort from this band but I still prefer Sing Song Death House. June 12, 2007

Coral Fang is jam packed full of eleven smashing good songs. These include the famous songs "Beat Your Heart Out", "Drain the Blood", and the rockin' "Dismantle Me" song. Not only these great songs but also the twelve minute, and seventeen second "Death Sex" track you'll also find here. This is a simply a super CD, one I listen to all the time. June 4, 2007

Coral Fang, the Distillers' newest album came out just recently, with a more evolved sound than ever, without compromising the punk rock and roll flavour that we've come to expect from Brody Dalle and the gang. I have to admit, I was a bit surprised when I heard the new songs, because they're so much more polished than the ones on their self-titled album or Sing Sing Death House. The album though, (complete with 11 new tracks, featuring the hit "Drain the Blood" which has been on both MuchMusic, MuchLoud, and MTV2 so far) is beautifully put out, and shows a great evolution from what the Distillers were and who they are now. Brody's voice sounds wonderful and unique as always, with more of a 'pop' twist, that will probably appeal to greater audiences than their raunchier "Sing Sing Death House", or "The Distillers" albums. Some people are questioning whether the lack of 'hardcoreness' of Coral Fang is the beginning of a downward spiral towards pop-dom, but I am CERTAIN, as a proud Distillers fan, that this is just an evolution, and all part of getting the guys' message out. The album is certainly unique, well done, beautifully recorded, and full of meaning. I would definitely recommend buying this CD-you wont be disappointed. The Hunger and Beat Your Heart Out are by far the best songs on the disc, but I'd have to say that Drain the Blood comes closest to the tunes of "Sing Sing Death House." The video for Drain the Blood among other audio files can be found online under the Menu ("Media") http://thedistillers.com/site2/flash/site.html.

Enjoy, rock on. February 28, 2004

Like said above, this album sounds totally different than the first two. In my opinion, its better than both of em. Before this album, Sing Sing Death House was my favorite, but yea...

My favorite track on this is "Die on a Rope", 2nd being a tie between "The Hunger", and "Love is Paranoid"

If you like punk, and chic's voices, go buy this album. If you dont like punk, then go "do something that is considered profanity and starts with an f" yourself. February 16, 2004

I decided to wait a little before I put in this review, listen to the cd a couple of more times, maybe the songs might stick. But they didn't! I only liked 2 songs on this cd. I don't know what happened but on this cd, Brody's voice sounds so bad and they don't sound like the Distillers anymore! If you like SSDH DON"T BUY THIS CD!!! February 15, 2004
