The music is multilevel entertainment.
You can listen to it one day and get something even more out of it the next day. It's fun, moving and uplifting. Heck I've used some songs to inspire myself to forgive and get over arguements when I didn't really feel like it, but knew I needed to. Thanks Phil; Another great soundtrack! November 22, 2008

Loved the first movie of Brother Bear. As always Phil does the music justice by offering his heartfelt vocals to this touching movie about spiritual practices, and the connections we all have to everything and every living being. My lil one and I rock out on this one! January 15, 2008

This soundtrack is an example how music, what had been for many years the keystone to disney films, has now become of negligible importance.
Employing such artists as phil collins and tina turner to preform songs in the films, rather than have characters themselves sing weakens the storyline. An animated musical, what disney films are, needs to have the songs sung by the characters.
To put aside for a moment the weak lyrics, the very basic orchestrated pieces, and the over use of brass instruments in conjunction with tradition native american instruments, the songs carry no emotion. They do not create fear, love, hate or saddness. These songs cause no desire for anyone to sing them again to remind themselves of the film.
With hope this will not be the future of disney musical pieces and things will improve. June 27, 2006

Every time I watch the movie, I can't stop my tears because of being moved and the warmth every plot gives me. And music is the greatest thing and the most important part of the movie! This soundtrack was another success of Phil Collins after "Tarzan".
The first song in the movie, "Great Spirits" is very splendid! I love it because it's rhythmic and with inspiring lyric. It always encourages me when I'm depressed. And so is the song "On My Way". Whenever I listen to it, I feel as if it's telling me, "There's nothing to be afraid of, just go ahead!" I love to listen to it while I'm walking or having a long train travel. "Welcome" is a great song, I love to listen to it with all my families or friends, and some of them who also like this song often sing along, then we always have a good time. Sometimes, suddenly, I associate this song with the tableaus of the movie, then my eyes get wet unconsciously! "No Way Out" is an excellent song, but just a little sentimental. I don't know how to hold my tears back while I'm listening to it! However, maybe the essence of this song is its sadness I think.
When I first watch the movie, I thought the scores were wonderful. But when I bought the CD and listened to them, I felt that it was a little noisy to me. I was a little disappointed that "Great Spirits" which was performed by Phil Collins was not in this soundtrack.
However, this soundtrack is quite good, and it fits for not only Disney fans but also music fans in all ages. Phil Collins did well in produsing this soundtrack, and showed his capability to everyone who has listened to this soundtrack. And I hope Phil Collins can write more songs for Disney's movies in the future! April 5, 2006
