Gackt - Crescent

great cd

I love this cd I originally got it for 2 songs but ended up loving them all I haven't seen the movie or the 2nd cd that goes with this 1 but if there 1/2 as good I'll buy them February 17, 2008

AWESOME.....

For one song alone, 'Lust for Blood', this album is hands down one of the greatest of all time. Gackt is one of the few male singers in any language I can tolerate, and he does his best work with heavy rock music. His voice is just so emotive, but it's his vocal range that gets me. His voice is up there with the greats of contemporary music: Mercury, Dio, Plant, etc.

If I was a girl, Gackt would be my pin-up (he is supposed to be the sexiest man alive, isn't he?), but, as a guy, I just wanna pick up one of the instruments and play along.

There is no-one in the West that can do what Gackt does, and, for that reason alone, anyone in the world interested in heavy rock musically should listen to this album.

Perfect

This is my favorite Gackt CD without a doubt. Before the album he released a couple of really good singles. And for the album? He made the most awesome songs ever.
"Mind Forest" is my absolute favorite, a very dark, mysterious rock song that literally pulls me into a dark world everytime I listen to it.

All the songs on this CD are awesome in their own way, especially "Tsuki no uta" and "Birdcage". June 17, 2007

AWSOME!

This CD is very good. I love his piano in this. It is very peaceful. The last song of this cd/album is my #1 favorite of his because I saw his movie ?Moon Child and fell in love with the song. It was beautifully written and I also love Hyde(Hideto) from L'arc~en~ciel.

Those two beautiful men look great together in that movie. I was inlove with it but it was strange. How much stranger does it get when Gackt himself came up with the movie idea. Haha. Its great if you like him.

Before I type my review, I want to say I wished I had looked around more for this album before buying it from Amazon, because it's not worth $40 unless you can't find it anywhere else. That aside, this is an alright album.

I like Gackt and all, but quite honestly his music isn't anything ground breaking or astonishing. The main reason this got 4 stars from me was because of how well the songs flow from one another.

There are only three full-length Gackt albums I feel are buy worthy. This one, MARS and MOON. While Diabolos is good, it's nothing all that great. When I first bought this album, I bought it along with Redemption (which is an excellent single) because I was wanting to get into j-rock, and had heard this was one of his best, and while it was, like I said.. I just wished I'd looked around for it more since I've seen it for $25 (Which is the best deal you're going to get for a import that's brand new.)

While I can't see my CD collection without this album (since even though I rarely listen to it, it has grown on me) but I do believe I could've waited.

If you like Gackt, yet have not heard this CD, I'd recommend getting it, because if you like other stuff he's done you'll likely like this. March 2, 2007
