Love Songs is a charming CD of great love songs performed by Donny & Marie Osmond. Donny and Marie sing beautifully on this album. The quality of the sound is excellent and I love that artwork, too!

"I'm Leaving It (All) Up To You" features a young Donny and Marie singing and harmonizing so very well; the melody is very pretty and the music that goes with their singing fits in perfectly! Their uncanny sense of timing enhances their performance even further; and "I'm Leaving It (All) Up To You" makes a strong start for this album. "It Takes Two" sounds fresh and new even all these years later; their cover of this Motown hit really makes me smile--it's quite good and Donny and Marie sing this with all their hearts and souls. Great music on "It Takes Two," also.

"Let It Be Me" gets quite a fine treatment from Donny and Marie Osmond; they sing this sweetly and "Let It Be Me" is easily a major highlight of this album. The strings are used to great advantage and Donny and Marie never miss a beat! "Everything Good Reminds Me Of You" charms me with its natural beauty; and I just don't know why this love song doesn't get its due recognition these days. "Everything Good Reminds Me Of You" is a beautiful number.

"True Love" gets a modern arrangement with that funky `70s sound--but make no mistake about it, this number holds its own very well. The tune is very pretty and Donny and Marie's diction is very good; this makes their performance very strong. "(When You're) Young And In Love" explores the experiences and feelings one has when they have a teenage love or a puppy love. I really like "(When You're) Young And In Love."

"It's All In The Game" is another cover of a very old love ballad that is truly timeless; their performance proves that it's timeless! "It's All In The Game" is a strong tune and it's also a highlight of this CD. In addition, "I Will" is another ballad that amazes me with its natural beauty; Donny and Marie Osmond make this so very special when they sing it out right! The album also ends strong with Donny and Marie performing "Deep Purple;" this number has always been one of my very favorites from the middle of the twentieth century. "Deep Purple" is a wonderful number with great melodies and this makes a fine ending for this CD.

Donny and Marie Osmond fans will definitely want this album in their collections; and people who enjoy modern takes on classic love songs will be very pleased with this CD, too.

I purchased Love Songs by Donny and Marie Osmond. I love the cd. It really bought back so many fond memories. The songs are still wonderful. And Donny and Marie really sing beautiful.
