Compilation cds are usually kind of corny because they're usually full of the same ole top 40 pop hits, but I was surprised at how enjoyable this one was. I recognized some songs and was enthralled with some new ones.

It's moody and varied and features some great female talent. It's like a mixed cd one of my girlfriends might make me with a random shuffle of artists she has saved on her realplayer.

I pop it into my car whenever I get sick of waiting for the radio to play something intelligible. December 10, 2006

"Though Celestial Celebration seems like a title taken from the Big Book of New Age Buzzwords, the Pure Moods people do a nice job with this collection musically. There's plenty of big-name talent involved, with everyone contributing mellow material. From Charlie Hunter and Norah Jones running through a dusky jazz take on Bryan Ferry's 'More Than This' to Röksopp's percussive ping-pong remix of the Kings of Convenience nugget 'I Don't Know What I Can Save You From,' Celestial Celebration helps make quiet the new loud. Flecks of Latin influence float in on a breeze, offering cuts from Kinky and Pink Martini; elsewhere, Sheila Chandra ('Crescent Silver Scythe') and Enigma ('Voyageur') offer a refined take on chill. The Dirty Vegas car advertisement hit 'Days Go By' is reborn here as a spare acoustic ballad, and Sarah Brightman's 'What a Wonderful World' ends the album in her overly dramatic yet atmospheric and rousing style. (The crashing percussion track is a nice touch). ~ Johnny Loftus, All Music Guide" November 5, 2006

If you are looking for meditation or tranquility from daily stress I recommend not only this CD, but the entire collection. I have all the Pure Moods collection and keep buying more New Age music. I feel I've invested my money in good music. I listen to pretty much anything from soft music, Rock, Salsa, Calypso to Dance-Techno music, but when I don't feel like listening to loud music, I listen to these CD collection, specially on a Sunday to reconnect with relaxation to start another heavy woking week. Also, if you like gospel, I'm sure you'll love these even though is not quite gospel music. You just reconnect yourself spiritually in this material world. September 5, 2006

Celestial Celebration is not a bad CD and a worth follow-up in the Pure Moods series. I still think Pure Moods 1 is the best however the others in the series are still good and worthy of purchasing. The flow on this CD is a bit puzzling at time because some of the styles contrast somewhat but to some that might be considered a strength. Some strong artists and tracks on this CD from Delerium, Moby and Massive Attack. All in all not a bad choice and nice to listen to. Other great CD's include Blank and Jones Relax, Digital Moodz "Levitation" & "Metamorphosis" and Conjure One "Extraordinary Ways". May 17, 2006

Was surprised at how much I love this album: but each time I listen, I love it more and more. There's one or two songs that I'm not sure belong on here, or that need to be in a different order, but I'm willing to let it go for how much I enjoy the mix overall. Listen to it on a rainy sunday afternoon, and relax. March 17, 2006
