| | Hey This a Fun Family movie | |
Well if you are looking for a wonderful children's video look no further than The Point. An excellent animated tale about a boy named oblio, who is very unique and fun with no pointed head in the land of point with his dog arrow have adventures. When oblio gets banished to pointless forest for not being born with any point on his head and goes on a journey of discovery, quite fun for a family with young kids to watch. My only wish would to have all Narrators from all broadcasts of The Point on the next reissue of this film to included Dustin Hoffman, Alan Barzman, Alan Thicke and Harry Nilsson. Plus Ringo Starr too that would be treat. Oh the music is excellent also.
Highly Recommended Title.
August 7, 2008I'm dating myself but I saw this movie with a bunch a friends when it first aired on ABC in 1971, we were all hippies. At that time it was narrated by Dustin Hoffman, and I really wish I could find it in it's original format. I loved it then and I've loved watching it with my son through his growing years, we still watch it together. It is so full of points, of course, even though there is often reference to so much pointlessness throughout the movie. Harry Nilsson's music is delightful as always. The story is terrific with so much to offer children of all ages, even us old kids, it has so many fun life lessons. And, best of all, it does have a point, many of them in fact. Don't miss this wonderful animated movie about Oblio his dog Arrow, and invite the children you know and love to watch it with you.
August 6, 2008A wonderful story for the whole family with charming animation and great songs. An under appreciated treasure.
July 6, 2008for all the hippies out there who love a good point with awesome music. I named my first dog Arrow. You will be singing along with the good happy songs. If you missed this when it came out- try it now....fun, clean, and many points to make about then and especialy now.....not just a cartoon for kids.....Nilsson is a genius
