Marc Anthony - Amar Sin Mentiras

Amar Sin Mentiras finds pop-salsero Marc Anthony standing comfortably at the crossroads of his bilingual career. The album (his first since 2002's English-language Mended) is Anthony's first foray into Latin pop, and it's one of his finest efforts overall. Anthony's previous Spanish-language albums were fiery salsa collections, and they helped him cement his status as the genre's premiere superstar. His English pop releases, however, never quite matched that passion, mostly because of drippy production and syrupy sweet songwriting. Amar Sin Mentiras sees the accomplished singer conquering the romantic ballad territory occupied by the likes of Enrique Iglesias and Ricky Martin with an eenthusiastic energy. First single "Ahora Quien" is anchored by a lovely arrangement featuring the London Symphony Orchestra. Equally compelling is "Escapemonos," Anthony's duet with blushing bride Jennifer Lopez from the film "Shall We Dance?" Through it all, Anthony's rich voice remains a marvel. To me this is by far the best Spanish language album Marc has made! Every song is a hit in my book! Especially 'Ahora Quien'...this song is so beautiful. If you like Marc Anthony you will love this CD! December 16, 2007

Very enjoyable - muy bueno

Es un album muy fuerte - especialmente "Valio La Pena", "Amigo", y claro "Ahora Quien". Es realmente un album con muchas caras.

I dont know how Marc Anthony can seem so sad in "Ahora Quien" when he has J Lo, but its a great, painfully sad love song. The salsa versions of these songs are even better, pero no encuentra ellas en lo.

La cancion, "Escapemonos", con Jennifer Lopez hace J Lo parece aun mejor que su sola musica. October 18, 2005

Beautiful Ballads By Marc Anthony!

I love this cd. It's full of beautiful ballads by the incredible voice of Marc Anthony. Best songs on cd are: Ahora quien, se esfuma tu amor, amigo and valio la pena. Also check out his salsa cd " Valio La Pena" with salsa versions of this songs. They are both great cds to own and dance to.. July 20, 2005

Brilliant album from J.Lo's Husband!

Marc Anthony is the luckiest man alive, because he is married to singing legend Jennifer Lopez. Wow, being married to J.Lo must be the privilege of a lifetime! Anyway, this album, sung entirely in Spanish, is great and so perfect. You need to buy two copies. It is unmissable. May 22, 2005
