Dragostea Din Tei changed my life. The first time I watched the video on YouTube of them performing in France (on a sort of French MTV), I realized how much I wanted to dance and sing. I threw out all my mental blocks about not being able to sing not having coordination and started dancing in my room and singing by myself and then for my friends and family, and even for my Japanese class for extra credit. I want music to be a part of my life's work.

I fell in love with O-Zone immediately and I found out all I could about them. I cried when I found out they broke up in 2005, but now I follow Dan, Radu, and Arsenie or "Arsenium" separately now. (I'm an active member on Arsenie's fansite). From what I know, I think O-Zone's music changed many lives for the better. It makes you want to crawl out of your shell and move your body!!! I suffer from depression and anxiety and this stuff brings me to an all time high or even calms me down. I haven't come across an O-Zone song that I haven't liked. They took Europe by storm and they'll take you by storm. May 18, 2008

Hottest In Cancun 2005

The rythm and beat of Dragostei Din Tei was amazing! Playing in the hottest clubs in Cancun was just another experience..Highly recomended.

Awesome CD - but go for the US Import (it's cheaper!)

Disc-O-zone does not in any way fit into my collection. Tom Waits, PJ Harvey & Iggy all gave me filthy looks when I popped it into the player. However, a girl needs some fun music & this is it! Like many ppl, I bought this for "Dragostea Din Tei", but have since grown to like other tracks better (my new faves are the dance tune "Sarbatoarea Noptilor De Vara" & the ballad "Crede-ma"). To be honest, I prolly like it more b/c I have no idea what is being said; all too often (for me) great tunes are ruined by stupid lyrics, so its possible that if this were in English, I'd hate it or be too critical.

In short, the melodies are fantastic, well produced and not boring. Its brainless fun that makes you smile, and makes a slow day go by faster.

Its too bad that O-zone is no longer together, and that Dan Balan, O-zone's founder, has moved on to mainstream rock. November 9, 2005

It's About Time!

These guys have been popular in Romania for a while now and it is absolutely FANTASTIC that the rest of the world is discovering them. They are one of the cleanest, most positive and just plain fun bands you're ever going to come across. Listen, sing along even if you dont know what you're saying. But most of all: dance. If you like Dragostea Din Tei you'll also love Despre Tine which was actually their first giant hit in Romania and won several awards from MTV Romania.

Oh... and just for those of you who were wondering: Vrei sa pleci dar nu ma (nu ma) iei means you want to leave but you wont take me.

They will be gone soon ....

Another Eurodance act that suffers the same disease as Eiffel 65 and Aqua : the one-hit-wonder syndrome. They have a huge hit now, but none of their other singles and/or albums will be able to live up to that success. In a very near future, when people get sick of hearing that so-catchy-and-lame-it's-good song called Dragostae din tei (which reaches the same level of ridiculousness that helped Barbie Girl and Blue (Da Ba Dee)sell millions of copies worldwide), Disco-Zone will be sold for .99$ at the flea market. And when people hear the name O-Zone, they will all wonder : "Who the heck is that, man?" Oh well. This is how the dance music industry works, so let's enjoy the playfulness of Dragostae din tei while it lasts. And if you haven't seen it yet (what, are you living under a rock???), I highly suggest you search the Web for the Numa Numa Dance video, where we can see the now-famous Gary Brolsma dancing in front of his webcam while mouthing the words to Dragostae din tei. That video, in my opinion, is reason enough to be thankful for O-Zone. March 16, 2005
