Even if you could consciously hear them trying to avoid it, elements of the dreaded sophomore slump do dig their hooks into Antics. While some of the beautiful, well produced interplay Interpol displayed so readily on their powerful debut is present, many songs as a whole just don't have that memorable quality so easily noticeable on TOYBL. Still, there is much payoff, as nailing indie-anthemic choruses continue to remain a focal point. September 23, 2008

"Evil" is an incredible song. I'd never heard of this band until that incredibly moving, heartfelt tune came on the radio. The rest of the album is really forgettable - slow hands is passable, as are maybe 2 other songs. The rest is filler, sounds like it was written by robots. Dull. Give Turn on the Bright Lights a listen if you want to see what this band's capable of. March 6, 2008

Evil is the song that got me into Interpol and opened a new world for me. A good album that grows on you. Make sure and check out their other albums, esp. Our Love To Admire, my favorite Album that I own. February 25, 2008

Personally, I think Interpol is one of top most unique, genuine, and passionate bands of the 90s-00s. Antics, in particular may not be as popular as Bright Lights, but for true fans, you will not be disappointed. That constant base, variable speed and pitch, and Paul Banks dark voice. Only out of New York would America produce music capable of comparing to UK edginess. As a creature of the 80s - I think Ian Curtis would have been proud of these boys!

An album to be played through - again and again. November 17, 2007

Interpol is indie rock band with one of the most original sounds you'll ever hear. While there music sounds "simple," it's not in the slightest. "Antics" is their 2nd CD and my personal favorite. I actually came across Interpol when their Antics first came out and I can easily say it's my favorite out of the 3 they've released. Featuring 10 tracks, this CD is great from beginning to end with no weak tracks. Some of my favorites tracks include the single "Slow Hands," along with "C'mere," and "Length of Love", but in all honesty I can easily say every song is my favorite. One thing I didn't like about the CD is it is somewhat short, coming in at only 41 minutes. Overall I'd highly recommend this to any indie fan or someone who heard Interpol on the radio and wants to listen to more. You will not be disappointed! November 17, 2007
