Timeless

As much as In Love and Death has been a disappointment to many Used fans, including myself at first, it grows on you easily. This album would be more recommended for fans of the band who like their poppier side over their screamier side, this album is dominated by less screaming and more melody. But for the fan who's been there since the beginning or like their harder edge, songs like 'listening', 'sound effects and overdramatics', and 'im a fake' are definately worth buying the album for. This record could be put on for any mood. February 21, 2007

Awesome cd!

I like their first cd better, but this cd is still amazing and definatley worth buying! I can't wait for their next cd to come out! January 10, 2007

In Love with This CD

I am a HUGE fan of The Used. 'In Love And Death' is a great CD. Most bands can't make a good sophmore CD, so I was surprised when I heard this one.

Take It Away- 4/5. Heard it too much.
I Caught Fire-4/5. Dito.
Let It Bleed- 5/5. Great Song.
All That I've Got- 5/5. Good, even if it is a ballad.
Cut Up Angels-5/5. Addicting.
Listening-5/5. I was obsessed with this song for a while.
Yesterday's Feelings-3/5. Not my favorite.
Light With A Sharpened Edge-5/5. I listen to this while I do my homework.
Sound Effects And Overdramatics-5/5. Awesome song.I have it as a ringtone.
Hard To Say-5/5. Fun to listen to on long car rides.
Lunacy Fringe-3/5. Another one of my non-favorites.

One Good song.

And that's "All That I've Got," which makes this whole cd whorth 2 stars becuase the song and the music video are just so good. But overall, the lead singer's voice sounds whiny and annoying. If you like the song "I'm A Fake," then I'd reccomend From First To Last, who sounds similar, but is much better than The Used. If you are thinking about buying this cd, save yourself $7.50 and just buy "All That I've Got" off of iTunes because it's really the only decent song on here. If you're a new fan of The Used, stick to their old stuff and listen to "Buried Myslef Alive." June 17, 2006
