About 3 Doors Down - Seventeen Days

After selling 12 million albums since their debut in 2000, 3 Doors Down released their third studio album, entitled Seventeen Days, on February 8, 2005. The album, recorded at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, and produced by Johnny K (Finger 11, Disturbed) features twelve original songs, including the road-weary ballad "Landing in London" featuring Bob Seger. Seventeen Days is the band's first studio album since 2002's multiplatinum Away from the Sun and the first new material since 2003's RIAA Gold-certified live EP Another 700 Miles.

From Escatawpa, Mississippi, 3 Doors Down is Brad Arnold, lead vocals; Matt Roberts, guitar; Todd Harrell, bass; and Chris Henderson, guitar. Album Description

This album starts off rocking hard, then it starts to fizzle towards the middle of the album, but I do like the song "Here By Me". I think one of the "biggest" songs on the album is supposed to be "Landing in London" with Bob Seger, but it just ends up being a little dull and disappointing. It does, however, have the big sound of a Seger song. It may sound bad, but there are some good songs on here to be found. "Let Me Go" is great and one of my favorite 3DD songs and "Behind Those Eyes" and "Never Will I Break" are other awesome songs. Overall, a pretty good album, but what do you expect when this was put together in about 17 days (which is why the album is named so).

I like 3 Doors Down, but this is just an average record. It's not as good as their first two, and they're definitely getting softer. It's also probably worse than their self-titled album which followed it. Recommended if you're a big fan, but casual fans may not find it very interesting. August 12, 2008

I applaud their continued patriotism, but for the most part the music bores me, just a little...a good band, just repetitive for the most part, not alot of variety. I'd recomend the Fozzy All That Remains, Reloaded CD for an amazing CD.All That Remains Reloaded (W/Dvd) April 17, 2008

Just recently sitting in a theater I had the misfortune of sitting thru a National Guard commercial with these guys singing, a very slick well done EXPENSIVE piece of propaganda I must say; and it went on and on and on. I couldn't help but think of the crushing amount of money our federal goverment is borrowing from the Chinese, the Saudis and even Mexico to pay for an illegal war in Iraq, all for oil, let alone for these "brown shirts" to stand on the backs of legitimate soldiers and wars and ask young impressionable people to join this "fight for freedom". Where were the national guard during katrina? Where are they now? I'll tell you where, veterans are committing suicide at a rate of 125 PER WEEK! There may be up to 1 million Iraqis dead because of this war! Did you know that! Of course not, the media has an economic interest in this war, along with every conservative who can figure a way to make a buck, including these guys. They want you to believe you're "fighting for freedom" while people like this enslave your mind! December 18, 2007

This is the best collection of greatest hits put out for any band. Any fan better have this in their collection or they are not truly a fan. October 10, 2007
