wow, this one really takes me back to the early 80s when I first started listening to hip hop. 'Can you Feel It?' in particular really really really brings me that innovative vibe... I clearly remember age 8 driving to my dad's house in the car and hearing this on the night radio mix amidst songs by whodini, run-dmc, midnight star, newcleus, and others. I remember my dad just bugging out to the sounds of the human beat box... it was some fresh stuff.
this is truly an underrated lp... fresh musical tracks (thanks to kurtis blow) and original raps throughout... definitely an essential album for any music collector

Excellent production by Kurtis Blow, def rhymes, human beat box, a goofy sense of humor--what's not to like? By far the best Fat Boys album, and one of the best rap albums ever made, in a great year for rap/electro albums (Run-DMC's self titled album, Kurtis Blow's "Ego Trip," Newcleus's "Jam On Revenge"...). CD is hard to find and expensive if you can find it, but thank goodness I found one before they went out of print. - (...)
January 8, 2006When I was a wee lad, in the days of Run DMC, L.L. Cool J, etc, were the Fat Boys. Those guys could bust a rhyme. I just can't belive that I had the 1st 3 cassettes, and now they are all almost impossible to find!!
