Limp Bizkit - The Unquestionable Truth, Pt. 1

My god.. Horrible..

Ok.. I've actually listened to this album and I have to ask.. what were they thinking? Limp Bizkit was never politically active and coming from them anything that might seem remotely in that direction would seem like an action that only was made based on which way the wind was blowing.

I'll have to say that I loved "3 dollar bill" and that was their high time. Some of significant other was ok, but they started trying hard to be cool rather than doing what they were good at, which WAS music. After hearing this, being a fan of the older material.. I'll have to say the painful truth that I hear local rock shows that sound more in tune and more together than Limp Bizkit does. This is God Awful! July 20, 2008

it's not great, but it's still a really good listen

I'm currently stationed in afghanistan where our px sells nothing but country music and mainstream rap-crap. I saw this cd sitting on the shelf, so I went on a wim and bought it. I've never been a big fan of limp bizkit because of their sappy lyrical content, but have always liked wes borland alot. I have to say this cd surprised me. It's got some real krunchy guitar riffs, well thought out lyrics, and hardly anything is to be seen of their cheesey hip hop/nu metal fusion which was so popular back in the day (which I couldnt stand). It depends on if your a dj lethal fan or not this could be a good thing or a bad thing. When it comes down to it. It's a pretty heavy cd with a pretty cool message and something you can listen to all the way through. April 11, 2008

is it LB or RATM?

I keep listening and i dont hear LP's slyle anywhere in this album...
what happened? we will never know for sure...
but the more I listen to it, the more I like Rage against the machine.

A Strong Effort....

Indeed, this cd is a pleasant surprise. This album is only 29 minutes long, but as another reviewer suggested, Durst is best in small doses.

As for the band, they definitely benefit from the return of Wes Borland. In fact, I believe this album contains some of Limps strongest guitar hooks to date (if you don't believe me, check out "The Truth").

As for the vocals, Fred Durst definitely steals a page from Zach's (Rage Against the Machine) book. Although, I like Fred's approach because he doesn't whine about the oppressive government system and then suggest oppressive communist-socialism as the answer like Zach does.

In conclusion, check this EP out. I think you'll be surprised at how much you'll like it. June 1, 2007

Borland is back, Bizkit is better, style is different

Well, the cool guitar riffs are back, courtesy of Wes. And this is a much better record than Results...but I don't know if I dig the musical direction. It is very evident that they are trying to be the new Rage Against the Machine, now that RATM is no more. They do alright, but RATM can't be touched. At least this brings LB back to some measure of respectability. This is probably the most mature album they have made, without all the infantile lyrics and gimics. Maybe they can still exist as a band, but I'll wait and see what they do next before judging them. I think they realized how laughable they were becoming and had to reinvent themselves. Maybe they will continue to add to this effort and become a new and improved LB. I won't lose any sleep about it, though, that's for sure. May 14, 2007
