Billy Currington - Doin' Somethin' Right

With his sophomore release, the Georgia singer reinforces the trend toward redneck beefcake, matching a bare-chested sleeve photo with material such as the album-opening "I Wanna Be a Hillbilly" (apparently a hillbilly with a penchant for screaming, arena-rock guitars). He engages in some pillow talk with the breathy balladry of "Must Be Doin' Somethin' Right" and takes a turn toward a dreamier romanticism with "She's Got a Way With Me," featuring vocal support from Michael McDonald. A straightforward revival of Kenny Rogers's "Lucille" connects country present with country past, while the reggae tinge of "Little Bit Lonely" jumps on the contemporary country & Caribbean boat. Great voice

Love this CD just as much as his first one! Billy Currington has one of the best voices in country music. All the songs on this CD showcase his talent beautifully! August 3, 2008

This is an absolute ear pleaser. I listen to this cd almost everyday and never get fed up of hearing it. His voice is sooooooooooooooooooo lovely.No regrets buying his cd infact I go both of it and I'm his fan for life. Keep it up Billy. Singing Kenny Rogers Lucilly wow!!!!! Great Artist

I am very happy with this CD I bought it specifically for "Good Directions" and found more songs on there that made it worthwhile in purchasing it. That usually is not the case,but in this instance it was (thankfully).I think most will be pleased with purchasing this. November 5, 2007

This is our favorite cd for the moment. My 4 yr old goes around telling ppl they are hillbillies because they drink corn whiskey! My 2 yr old yells hillbilly! every time we get in the van. The music is fun and I highly recommend it if you like country. October 10, 2007
