About Boogie Down Productions - Criminal Minded
Traffic Entertainment and B Boy Records present one of the most influential and original albums in music history, “Criminal Minded” by Boogie Down Productions. KRS-ONE’s combination of street slang and Webster’s dictionary knowledge backed with Scott La Rock’s hard hitting, minimal beats set this record apart when it was originally released in 1986. With this now classic debut album, BDP helped redefine the New York rap music scene. “Criminal Minded” elevated the standards to a new level and proved that rap could be a dynamic and consciousness-raising medium. KRS-ONE has gone on to become one of the most prolific and critically-acclaimed artists in Hip Hop history. A true classic, “Criminal Minded” was included in Vibe Magazine’s 100 Essential Albums of the 20th century. Product Description

lyrically krs one is one of the best there ever was, the is album is proof. i paid 25.99 for this cd and it was worth it i still play it at least once a week. the song south bronx made this album, and diss tracks like the bridge is over are amazing to say the least. not saying i don't like the juice crew, but that krs one is an amazing performer.

| Old School Classic |
I'm not one who really understands the techniques of the MC's or the recording process, all I know is that it still holds up after all these years. Back then I probably wasn't into this type of stuff (when it was first released), but it is an important part of music history for sure along with many others I've gotten like Schoolly D, Ice T, N.W.A, and Public Enemy to name a few from that era. And of course you got KRS-one on this one who is one of the most influential and best MC's of all time.
Next on my list is 2 Live Crew, and then my old school fix will be complete with Dr. Dre's debut and Snoop Dogg's debut...and boy am I looking forward to hearing those! June 22, 2007
