About Get Rich or Die Tryin'

"Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture Get Rich or Die Tryin'" features all-new music from 50 Cent and the entire stable of artists on his G Unit Records imprint. The first single, "Window Shopper," is a track that exposes the mentality of a rapper who can't afford to buy the things he wants and feels he deserves. It also serves as a focal point for some of the movies most poignant scenes. Earlier, the album track "Hustler's Ambition" was dropped to give people a taste of what to expect from the soundtrack. Its grimy nature takes you back to where it all began, the hungry streets of Queens. DJs across the country are spinning this track uncontrollably in the clubs.

"I created the music for the soundtrack while I was actually filming the movie. I had a studio trailer with me and would record every day between takes," comments 50 Cent. "I keep telling you, I'm the hardest working man alive." 50 Cent executive produced the album. Sha Money XL is co-executive producer with Dr. Dre and Hi-Tek providing further production. Mase, Nate Dogg and newly signed G Unit members Mobb Deep and M.O.P are also featured on the album. Album Description

I just finished writing a review for 50 Cent's new CD Curtis. So I decided to move on to another CD of his or soundtrack Get Rich Or Die Tryin. This is not his first CD it is the one from his movie. I have tons of opinions on this CD and you will hear them by the end of this review.

We start off the CD with a song called hustlers ambition. Now I will start off by saying that this did not become the big hit that 50 wanted it to be but in my eyes it is the best one on this CD. The one problem I have with people saying it is not good cause it did not get most radio time is bullcrap. In fact I believe that some of the best artist work is not played on the radio. Anyway the beat is great and his flow in this song is great as he pulls off some sick rhymes. Great way to kick off the CD. Our next song on the CD is called What If. When I first heard this song I liked it a lot but the more I listened to it I did not like it. It seemed like he tried to pull off what Jadakiss did with Why but it did not flow as well. Not saying that you should not listen to it but its not one of my favorites. Our next track that we get is Things Change feat. Spider Loc. I Really liked this song and thought that it was cool to hear a new voice for G-Unit and that is spider loc. Not a lot to say but a catchy song. Our next song is You Already Know by Lloyd Banks, 50 Cent and Young Buck. When you listen to this for the first time you will love it at least I did. Going into this CD I had not heard much hype about it but I will say that it is the surprise on the CD. Banks starts it off ok but 50 and Bucks parts are sick with some great rhymes. Great song. Our fifth song on the CD is When Death Becomes You M.O.P. I thought this was the perfect place for this song as it gives us a break from the original G-Unit and lets us hear the new part of the group. The song is not great but its not bad either. Kind of like What if its just ok but refreshing to hear some new members of the group. Our next song on the CD is Have A Party by Mobb Deep feat. 50 Cent. I really like this song as it caught on with me. Great thinking by putting 50 to kick off the song as he starts off the song well. Then the next two verses are handled by Mobb Deep. Solid song and a great dance song. Our seventh song on the CD is We Both Think Alike by 50 Cent. This is more of a slow song and is dedicated to Olivia. Not bad a good spot for a slow relaxing song. Our next track is Don't Need No Help by Young Buck. This is a great song by young buck. It brings me back to let me in. Not as good but a great beat. He is basically saying F the police. Our next song on the CD is get low by Lloyd Banks. I don't know if its just me but ever since banks came out with his first CD I have not liked a lot of the music that he put out. This song is okay it is a nice dance song with a good beat but nothing like Hands Up. Our Tenth song on the CD is Fake Love by Tony Yayo. I liked the new song by Yayo on 50 Cent's Curtis Touch the Sky but most of his work I feel could be better. I like the fact that 50 is sticking with him but I think he could do better. This song does not appeal to me and is a disappointment. The next song on the CD is Window Shopper by 50 Cent. This was another main stream song but it is not as good as Hustlers Ambition. Not a bad track by 50 but I heard a lot of people say what's the point of this song. I personally liked it but people have there opinions on the track. Our twelfth song on the CD is Born Alone Die Alone by Lloyd Banks. This was another average track by banks but still solid and not bad. Better than he has been. The next song on the CD is You a Shooter by Mobb Deep feat. 50 Cent. Wow that is already 2 songs that I have liked on this CD from mob deep were 50 cent was in the song. I will say this was a great add to the group as this song has a great beat and is another solid track with 50 taking the chorus and mob deep taking the verses. Good song. The fourteenth track on this CD is I Don't Know Officer by 50 Cent and other members of G-Unit. I really liked this song and this lead to a great last five songs on this CD. More of a hardcore song but all different voices helped this song and just a great track by 50 and G-Unit. The next song on this CD is talk about me by 50 Cent. Another nice track by 50 and he keeps up a good string of songs to close off the CD. The next track on this CD is When It Rains It Pours by 50 Cent. Another track that is not about so much the dancing but more about a serious track. I will be honest while I do like some of 50's dance music I love some of the serious music he puts out and this is a great track. The next song on this CD is Best Friend by 50 Cent. I really liked this song cause it more of a love song and in the movie he wrote it for a girl so it means something. Very nice song by 50 and the end of the CD gets better and better. The final song on the CD is I'll Whip Ya Head Boy by 50 Cent feat Young Buck. Wow great call by 50 hear right after a love song close off the CD with buck. Very nice hardcore song and 50 and buck play well off each other.

All right so that is the end of the CD. I will say that this is my second favorite CD by 50 Cent. Just great production here I really cant say enough. First off it was nice to see the whole new members of G-Unit as they did well for there first CD. 50 great job here I liked almost every one of these songs and to be honost weather you like 50 or not you should pick this up. Great stuff by 50 and G-Unit.

would be the perfect name for this god awful movie and sound track. 50 is the worst rapper period an MTV manufactured thug wannabe trying to deliver a true gimmick of a saga movie to make people think this shm*ck got shot 9 times when he really got shot 2 times. burn in hell 50! August 29, 2007

Alright I know everybody is skeptical about this soundtrack because The Massacre was just plain awful. But this soundtrack is alot better than The Masscare. Hustla's Ambition was a great first single and its the type of song that 50 should have had on his last album. What If is nice follow up track and 50 gets you with those hooks. Spider Loc gives his best performance on Things Change feat Lloyd Banks. You Already Know feat Lloyd Banks, 50 and Buck is dope also even though 50 and Young Buck stole the show. Young Buck's anti-police joint We Dont Need No Help is tight. There are tracks that stop this soundtrack from being the great soundtrack it could have been. Have A Party(Mobb Deep feat 50) is terrible. Both of Lloyd Banks's solo joints suck which are Get Low and Born Alone Die Alone. When It Rains It Pours is boring. Window Shopper sounds exactly like Majic Stick. Tony Yayo's solo cut Fake Love is proof that he should have never been signed. We Both Think Alike feat Olivia is awful too. But dope tracks like I Dont Know Officer(Spider Loc, Lloyd Banks, Prodigy, 50 Cent and Mase), Talk About Me and I'll Whip Ya Head Boy make this soundtrack worthwhile. Standout tracks:HUSTLERS AMBITION, WHAT IF, THINGS CHANGE, YOU ALREADY KNOW, DONT NEED NO HELP, I DONT KNOW OFFICER, TALK ABOUT ME, YOU A SHOOTER, I'LL WHIP YA HEAD BOY and WHEN DEATH BECOMES YOU.
