About Shaggy 2 Dope - F.T.F.O.
2 Dope solo. Jumpin' out in front, and all 'cross the mixing board with this one. It's fluid flows and even beats, then staccato screamin' or hard headbangin'. He's an O.G. gangbanger, spittin' street stories, keepin' it all kinds of real. He's the old-school angry Shaggs, a smooth smartass, and the wry, ruthless, rapper the fans have grown to love. He's funny, f**ked-up, and fresh, and puttin' it down the way you love, a way you ain't ever heard it before. Believe that. Musically he's hittin' from all directions, with straight-up classic samplin', Klub cuts, and all-original beats, with a lick of guitars in the mix. It'll have your hands in the air, quick like a stick-up, and they'll bounce, they'll wave, even throw up some devil horns. It's cruel, it's ruthless, and it's smooth like Zen Buddha. Shaggy's all over this one, with his homies in tow, featuring guest shots by the Psychopathic family.
He's one-half of the Insane Clown Posse, droppin' his first solo album in 10 years, but that don't quite cover it... Album Description

Average user review:| Shaggy 2 Dope - "F.T.F.O." (4 stars) |
I kinda figured that this would have a big sex theme, which is 85% of the things that Shaggy raps about. But on here, surprisingly, he keeps it to a minimum. On here you get gangsta rap (They Shootin'), club rap (Keep It Scrubbin'), horrorcore rap (Cobwebs In The Attic) and even inspirational rap (Your Life). Don't get me wrong, there are a few sex cuts here, but they aren't flooding the album. Also, his fellow ICP rapper Violent J added only minor vocals on this album. And there's only 2 guests on here. Which is great for 17 tracks, because we get to hear more of who we paid to hear, Shaggy 2 Dope.
On this release, Shaggy steps up his lyrical game alot from his traditional ICP raps. His flow is improving drastically, and he is starting to branch out into other rapping aspects, instead of straight up "dirty-rap", as I've said above. On this album, we hear a side of Shaggy that we never heard, he is a heap more open-minded than I could ever imagine. He almost portrays himself as a decent human being.
The production here is great as well, this album is produced by Mike E. Clark, Polar Bear and ICP, and most of the beats shine pretty bright. The guitars are on the minimum, and the typical beat here is kinda slower than usual, and alot of the loops are more hardhitting, and some are even, dare I say, "jazzy". The production here will get a B+ from me.
Here's my individual track ratings.
01. "Prelude" (A+)
02. "F#%k The F#%k Off!" (A+)
03. "Keep It Scrubbin'" (A-)
04. "Forever & Always" (C)

06. "Make It Happen" (B+)
07. "Meltdown" (C-)
08. "They Shootin'" (A+)
09. "Half Full" (A-)
10. "Always F#%kin' With Us (ft. Twiztid)" (A+)
11. "Pull Me Over" (A)
12. "Ball Bounce" (D-) (least favorite)
13. "Red Moon" (B)
14. "Owl Face Hoe (ft. ABK)" (A+)

This album is a great solo LP from Shaggy 2 Dope. The one who is usually Violent J's shadow in most ICP albums. It's great to get to hear an entire of album from him, and he got a chance to show off his great rapping talent well here. I'll admit, some tracks are alot better than others, but the ones I rated positively, are worth alone paying for.
I recommend this to Juggalos and horrorcore rap fans. This is a great addition to the Psychopathic Records discography. Peace.

| An Artist that is wicked, gangbanger, killa, philosophical, *and* moral?? You bet! |
The lyrics, beats, and styles are all Shaggy; ruthless, angry, smooth, and genuine. The rhymes are some of the smoothest deliveries in the rap industry, not to mention articulate, if not witty.
The subjects are diverse and all provocative, whether it's about his anger at hatred, intolerance, and the patronizing attitudes of mainstream society, or whether it reflects on his philosophy on how to live life to the best of one's ability.
Shaggy truly shines in this album as an example of not only underground rap, but as a truly outstanding artist in his own right. Go. Get. This. Now! January 18, 2008

1. Prequel 0/10: Take it, its a prequel to a CD which offers no musical talent. Thats right, your brain isn't lieing to you.
2. F#%k The F#%k Off 2/10: This is a good opening song, if shaggy rapped about new and interesting things I'd probably enjoy it more.
3. Keep It Scrubbin' 2/10: Different song, same meaning. Stay down with the clown, don't ever change. Forget that.
4. Forever & Always 0/10: Can't really say much about this song, repetitive vocals, beat could be a lot better. Chourus, way too repetative
5. Memories 0/10: The meaning of this song kind of got to me, but this is not music...and thats where I draw the line.
6. Make It Happen 0/10: You want me to make it happen? Your a fool, I'm not the one thats job is to impress countless thousands of drones and to persuade them to buy your merchendise. Not any more at least.
7. Meltdown 8/10: This is the song that got me to put 2 stars on the album. Songs funny, entertaining, and just a classic ICP song.
8. They Shootin' 1/10: Kinda fast paced, same Murder Go' Round meaning.
9. Half Full 1/10: Not worth my time
10. Always F#%kin' with Us (feat. Twiztid) 4/10: Twiztid did pretty well on this song I thought. But really, its not that great
11. Pull Me Over 1/10: Slow, has sort of a mellow feeling to it. Thats cool for, I don't know, Justin Timberlake but ICP? You gotta be a moron.
12. Ball Bounce -5000/10: This song is like Panties off of FF4, repetitive, offers no musical intelect, and the lyrics are down right TRASH.
13. Red Moon 6/10: Has a good sound to it, another classic feeling ICP song.
14. Owl Face Hoe 2/10: I thought this song was funny, not the lrics, how Shaggy has become such a fool that he can make a song so darn stupid to put it on his own album.
15. Cobwebs in my Attic 0/10: Cripity Crop
16. It's About Time 0/10: It's about time for you to get an actual job
17. Your Life 0/10: Always putting it on us, the consumer. Its your life that is messed up, not mine. The song is not music.
Well, after reading this review you'll probably still think I'M the retarded one. Thats cool, at least a retard is smarter than a detroit white person. Go Robocop! Get them criminals.
