About Corinne Bailey Rae - Put Your Records On
Breakthrough artist for 2006, Corinne's fragile voice sneaks through the back to basics pulsating R&B beat. Her silken voice utters the lyrics in such a carefree manor the Leeds born vocalist appears to barely try yet achieves so much. 'Put Your Records On' is taken from her much hyped debut album Like A Star. The title track is backed with 'Another Rainy Day'. EMI. Album Description

| Soulful Corinne Bailey Rae is a breath of fresh air.. |
Her voice is not the best I have heard but she's definitely unique. Her voice is comforting and down to earth.
If you like Jazz, Blues or Soul, you should definitely try to listen to the jazzy, bluesy and soulful Corinne Bailey Rae.
And I highly recommend you to listen to "Put Your Records On" at least several times and I'm sure most of you will love it...
--------------------------------------------------
Three little birds, sat on my window.
And they told me I don't need to worry.
Summer came like cinnamon
So sweet,
Little girls double-dutch on the concrete.
Maybe sometimes, we've got it wrong, but it's alright
The more things seem to change, the more they stay the same
Oh, don't you hesitate.
Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,
Just go ahead, let your hair down.
You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow.
Blue as the sky, sunburnt and lonely,
Sipping tea in the bar by the roadside,
(just relax, just relax)
Don't you let those other boys fool you,
Got to love that afro hair do.
Maybe sometimes, we feel afraid, but it's alright
The more you stay the same, the more they seem to change.
Don't you think it's strange?
Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,
Just go ahead, let your hair down.
You're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow.
'Twas more than I could take, pity for pity's sake
Some nights kept me awake, I thought that I was stronger
When you gonna realise, that you don't even have to try any longer?
Do what you want to.
Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,
Just go ahead, let your hair down.
Girl, put your records on, tell me your favourite song
You go ahead, let your hair down
Sapphire and faded jeans, I hope you get your dreams,
Just go ahead, let your hair down.
Oh, you're gonna find yourself somewhere, somehow

| WHERE'S the REST of the CD?....I was confused! |
I paid three times that amount without being told I was getting 2 songs.
That's not truthful advertising or honest pricing! I'm NOT disappointed in the singer, Ms. Corinne Bailey Rae, but I surely didn't realize I was paying that much for 2 teeny songs!! signed..."disappointed in the marketing!" March 1, 2007
