Blizzard Beasts is a problematic album, and probably my least favorite of Immortal's catalogue. In an interview with Terrorizer magazine, Abbath (vocals/bass) commented on how Blizzard Beasts was written too fast. I would have to agree with this. Though speed is a staple of Immortal's sound, Blizzard Beasts often becomes muddy and indistinguishable from song to song. There are some standout moments though, where Immortal's greatness shines through. However, unless you are an Immortal fan already, I wouldn't recommend buying Blizzard Beasts.
