About Carter Falco - If It Ain't One Thing
A proud son of Waco, Carter has been playing the music game for several years. He played lead guitar in Stargunn with Shooter Jennings. When that group disbanded, Carter began writing songs and playing low-key shows throughout the Southwest. The work of Steve Earle and Waylon Jennings inspired his early, introspective work as. By the time he entered the studio to record his debut, Carter’s repertoire had grown to include free-spirited material reminiscent of Hank Williams Jr. and Charlie Robison.
If It Ain’t One Thing sounds at once both familiar and refreshing. Whether expressing a restless outlaw attitude on "I Can’t Wait" or the weary lament of "Tattoos and Scars," Carter has recorded an album for all moods. Several old friends helped Carter make this great album. Shooter Jennings sings on both the title track and "Long Gone"; these songs recall Willie and Waylon’s rollicking records. Lucy Walsh, the daughter of Eagles gunslinger Joe, sings wonderfully on "Move Along." Audioslave’s Tom Morello wrote "Union Song" especially for Carter. The playing is loose and relaxed, perfectly capturing Carter’s easy-going nature. Album Description
