This is not at all like the 'No Roots' album. These mixes sound tired and boring. The House mixes cd is o.k. but even then if your not a fan of repetitive downtempo house you won't like it. The previous reviews sound fake too... Not worth it...I couldn't even resale at the local cd shop and it was brand new condition! April 3, 2008

As soon as I heard the first track from the first disc, I was hooked on it's sound, it's presence, and it's overall production. The talent of Sister Bliss (and Maxi Jazz) shines bright as usual on this fantastic release.
"Renaissance Presents 3D by Faithless" is a wonderful treat for all Faithless fans alike. The album not only has remixes of some popular and previously unreleased Faithless songs, but also blends a compilation of tracks from well known artists such as "Donna Summer, Dido, Tricky, Black Grape" and many more. All three discs are a complete pleasure to listen to, and I would highly recommend this album to any fan of the Electronic / Dance genre, from any where in the world.
Five stars to "Renaissance Presents 3D by Faithless."

Have you encountered the "Back To Mine" series? Various artists get to choose the kind of music that they play for their own enjoyment at home. This "3D" triple CD couples that kind of "stuff we like" collection with a glimpse into the roots of Faithless: various projects that the members were involved in before coming together, some of their early demo mixes, and some "friends and family" cuts (including Dido, of course). And all of it is beautifully mixed into a seamless whole. (If you rip this into iTunes, remember to mark it as "gapless".)

Some of Faithless's best work drags you out of your comfort zone, and makes you ecstatic, angry, sad, passionate, or thoughtful. This CD doesn't do any of that; it just makes you feels good. And you know, there's nothing wrong with that.... February 11, 2007

Faithless made a beautiful compilation years ago with "Back to Mine." On Renaissance Presents, Faithless bring an equally balanced mix of artists(including themselves) to this CD set.

Disc 1 highlights include Faithless' "Crazy English Summer" (Brothers On High Remix) and I Giant Leap featuring Maxi Jazz of Faithless- "My Culture".

Disc 2 highlights include Re-Touch's version of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill".

Disc 3 has a beautiful song by John Martyn-"Go Down Easy". It wouldn't be out of place on a film soundtrack.

I love listening to all mixes Faithless does, and this one does not disappoint.

Highly recommended.

The first of the three albums contains all of Faithless' singles not released on the band's other albums (including Woozy, Addictive, & and Maxi Jazz's collaboration My Culture). The 2nd CD seems to contain a set of songs that have more influenced Faithless' club hits (Insomnia, Salva Mea, God is a DJ, etc.) The 3rd CD contains songs which seem to probably have been more of an influence to Maxi Jazz and his knack for lyrical poetry and rap influences. I would say that this is an excellent album for those out there who want to get to know some of Faithless' most influential and foundational music. January 9, 2007
