I could listen to this album over and over again. The first time I heard I thought it was ok, but too long (80 minutes!). But I like it more and more everytime I hear it, and I've been listening to it since it came out. This is probably my favorite CD ever, which is surprising because I wouldn't expect it from someone like Diddy, who's known as a so-so rapper at best when it comes to music. He doesn't really stay in the spotlight much on this album at all. He plays it smart and knows his limits, sharing the spotlight with so many talented singers, rappers, and producers. The first half is good with a couple of decent rap songs and some good club bangers, but the second half is where it becomes amazing and you realize what the album is truly about. By the end you'll feel like you heard a masterpiece. The story is so well put together you could make this into some kind of movie or musical.

Favorite Tracks:

6. Come To Me - The first single off the album. It was a Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts. Definitely a cool song that gets you in the mood for clubbin and all that.

7. Tell Me - An even harder club banger produced by Just Blaze (who has worked with Jay-Z, Kanye West, Ghostface Killah, and Usher among many others). Diddy's lyrically decent here, but the spotlight is mostly on Christina Aguilera, who sings the bridge and the hook. It's surprising that this one wasn't big on the charts.

14.) After Love - My favorite and one of the most emotional songs on the album. Keri Hilson pours her heart out on this amazing Timbaland/Danja beat. Diddy's parts are cool as well.

17. Last Night - The third single off the album. This one was also a top 10 hit on the charts. It features an amazing, emotional beat and backdrop by Mario Winans and some awesome vocals from Keyshia Cole. This song is a perfect example of Diddy not staying in the spotlight. Diddy only has background vocals and some of the hook!

19. Partners For Life - A great Neptunes-produced song to end the album. Jamie Foxx sings the hook beautifully with some smooth background vocals from Pharrell. I could never get tired of this song.

Those are some personal favorites of mine. Other songs worth mention are "Wanna Move," "Diddy Rock," and "Through The Pain." All the songs are good, though, and you won't want to miss appearances by Mary J. Blige, Nas, Cee-Lo of Gnarls Barkley, Ciara, Big Boi of OutKast, and other big stars. Don't judge a CD by its cover, give it a shot.

I love this album despite the negative reviews I have read so far. This album will get you high on music while we enjoy the vibe. This album is a love story, a sly romantic tale of two peopl who meet, seduce each other, fall in love, and then experience the inevitable pain of that love breaking. This album, underneat that, is the tale of a dream, a helpless romantic who is balancing the dreamstate of his passions with the passions with the passions of his dreams coming true. The tracks spans the realm of Diddy expressing himself. This album is inspired by the movements of bodies in dark after-hours spots all over the world, those sexual, sensual places where the music is the beat but the vulnerability of meeting someone new and dancing with them for the first time offers up all kinds of possibilities. This album really reflects that. This album has been certified PLATINUM. This album was destined to be successful. March 13, 2008

i think diddy did a great job. he has good hits on here. the song and video with Nicole from the pussy cat dolls is hot. and christina aguilera's voice sounds so good and strong on Tell me. she did a good job. diddy took his time with this album unlike a lot of the "rappers" out there. i don't know why people don't like this album. Beyoncé did her thing in 2006 but something about the beats in most of these songs...very infectious.
