NOT SEEN SINCE 1978! And for good reason.........

Look, the transfer and colors are great, the sound is fabulous and it does bring back some memories of the '70s I was growing up in. But what about the content? Well, hmmmm, it looks like a Morman clan meeting! Never seen so many huge, white teeth in one location at once! No African-Americans or ethnics to be seen anywhere in their "mountain" hideaway (the studio). The audience looks blissed out on Xanax and moves as one like at a Nazi rally. Over this strange scene you have lovely pre-recorded melodies and harmonies the Osmonds mouth to. The outside snow scenes are nice as Marie says "Some of you don't ever get to have a white Christmas but we have one every year!" Thanks for the Christmas cheer, Ms. Thang!!!! Ouuu, don't miss the big plus of the Osmond wives singing for the first time! The Christmas songs are fine till they get into the rut of only singing religious music. (Looks like a Christian Broadcasting Network special then) For an added bonus we get to hear Donny and his bride sing "You're Once, Twice, Three Times A Lady", that old Christmas standard. The boys and Marie do a number about chimney sweeps for some reason and smile, smile, smile. I do have to say you ain't likely to see this again for another 30 years if ever! LOL! Cute Amazon, Real cute!

If you want to go back and remember a time when Christmas still had a soul, then here you go! I actually think the spirit of Christmas was lost by the 80's and if you want to get it back, then you have to work at it a little harder. The first step is to surround yourself with the people and things that take you back to your happiest Christmas memories. Yes, you can actually go back if you try hard enough. Come on people, you only have one life! This dvd has plenty of old fashioned cheese and 70's fashion. You KNOW you wish your family was this tight and had this much fun! Let go and have fun for a change, it's Christmas for Christ's sake! September 19, 2008

Christmas Is Not Christmas

You know the old saying that christmas is not christmas without Frank Sinatra and them good old christmas songs while the Osmonds should be counted among them as well. This is an jem seeing the entire Osmond clan along with their wifves and their momther and father singing christmas songs. NO matter is your an fan of the Osmonds or of Donny and Marie than this dvd is just for you.
