This album is fantastic. Live, Anders is a one-man show. Here, he's enlisted some folks like Ken Coomer(Uncle Tupelo, Wilco) and Eric Heywood(Son Volt) to flesh out these great songs. Highlights:"Dear Sara", "Airport Road", "False Positive" and "Parajito". The CD is always near my player. The man has a unique voice and cool turns-of-phrase that draw you in. Good driving music. Own it. May 9, 2008

Anders Parker Circle Same is outstanding. Anders should release the songs individually via iTunes vs. having to purchase the Album. Circle Same is outstanding but not enough to compel one to purchase the album. You can listen to the entire song at Anders' MySpace http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=19123956 but still unable to download the individual song. I was excited to hear Anders Parker had released another solo album, following up on his "Tell It To The Dust" album from 2006. I got this new self-titled CD for my wife for Xmas, and have had a chance to listen to it 10-12 times so far, and I love it. In many ways it is the solo album I was hoping he'd make next: Mostly acoustic, with some excellent backing instrumentation (organ, drums, petal steel, etc). Anders vocals and lyrics on this one are hushed and introspective, with great lyrical imagery.

If you like Anders' previous work, or the music of Iron & Wine, Jay Farrar, Nick Drake, Jose Gonzalez then you'll like this CD. January 24, 2007
