They finally release The Beatles in a High Fidelity format and what do we get a Megamix.....snippets of Beatle songs. For a lot of you DJ's out there you know how we hate Megamixes. Come on Apple Records, EMI, Parlophone whoever has the power, do it while we are still alive. The Beatles in it's true form on DVD-Audio, DTS ...... that would be amazing.
September 12, 2008Absolutely love this CD. Saw the Cirque show in Las Vegas and missed buying the cd afterwards - my boyfriend and kept talking about it so much, and then another person I know played it one night and I knew I had to buy it. Even if you own every Beatles album, this one is great simply for its seamless transitions and mixes between various songs. Plus, it makes a great visual of the Beatles lives as musicians.
August 25, 2008A must-have for any Beatles' fan! George Martin (original producer extraordinaire for the Beatles) and his son Giles have produced an exquisitely mastered product. Highly suggest this double version: CD plus the Audio DVD. Costs MUCH more if you buy it at the actual show at The Mirage in Las Vegas. We purchased this, then went to see the show (which, by the way, has the longest contract EVER for a resident show--ten years!--and we HIGHLY recommend it . . . a true feast for the eyes, ears, and all your senses!), and listened to it while we drove back home. Buy it . . . you won't regret it! Even if you have, like we do, all the original recordings. These newly mastered songs are fabulous!!

This is simply fantastic. Whether or not you watch the show, these remastered classics are just phenomenal. I could not watch Love in Vegas in Dec 2006 as they were on a short hiatus the few short days I was there. But nevertheless, this CD is still a brilliant purchase, and sounds as good today as it ever did. Strongly recommended. Buy it for yourself, or as a painfree, easy introduction to the Beatles for the younger 'uns who may not have had the benefit of knowing the Fab Four back when...
July 13, 2008I saw the show in Las Vegas last summer, a few days shy of it's one year anniversary. The music in the theater is played in surround so that's why I bought this addtion. It contains both a standard CD as well as a 5.1 surround sound disc. The music re-mixes from the original recordings are beyond belief. Even though we've all heard these songs a thousand times before, the clarity of these re-mixes makes it almost like they truely are "new songs". Hearing alternate versions of songs as well as mixing the drums from one song into the melody of another (how'd they do it?) sound amazing. Listen to the end of Strawberry Fields and hear almost a half dozen different songs interwoven at the same time. It isn't for everyone, in fact most Cirque soundtracks probably won't mean as much if you haven't seen the show already, but you don't have to see "Love" to enjoy listening to these versions of Beatles classics.
