This album is SO MUCH better than L.A.M.B.

Early Winter
U Started It
Now That You Got It
4 In The Morning

those are my favorites. she gets hardly any airplay though, which is sad. November 29, 2007

rating: 3 QuoteFun, but disposable Hip-Hop Pop...Quote
WARNING: Some of these tracks are truly disposable.

But Gwen is the queen of just having fun and she usually hits more than missing.

Standout tracks are:

2. The Sweet Escape - Feat. Akon
4. Early Winter
5. Now That You Got It
6. 4 In The Morning

Track 12. Wonderful Life, gets points for being melancholy and original. 4 In The Morning is light Pop fluff, but enjoyable, nonetheless. Now That You Got It is the most fun track here. And The Sweet Escape isn't far behind. My second favorite track behind Now That You Got It is Early Winter. I hear it at work a lot and I love this one!

Gwen's a Libra, and they're all about fun and flirting to the umpth degree.

If you want to have a bit of fun, download the singles or take a chance on the album. It's Darn Catchy!

3.4 stars - .3 for cleanliness.

3.1 stars.

End Note: Most notable though, Early Winter has Gwen crooning through a shining, somewhat withheld truth by the time track 4 comes through. It could very well be her most poignant (poin-yuhnt) solo release ever.
Very honest and upfront; no masks whatsoever.
It also makes for a calming mid-tempo. Thank goodness they play this in the grocery store I work at now. I will listen and know the lyrics from now on!! October 4, 2007

Excellent CD. Just about every song is enjoyable. Saw her in concert after purchasing it and loved the CD even more. Not to be a prude, but definitely prefer the edited version. July 3, 2007

Where this album never followed the classical Gwen that we are used to the different experimentations she did with garage sounding beats were well worth the effort. I highly reccomend purchasing this CD. May 12, 2007

I have listened to many albums from artists that have managed to come up with a single hit with other songs included as filler. Unfortunately, This album falls exactly into this category.

The hit song on the album - "The Sweet Escape" is far and away one of the best and one of the most popular songs according to the number of downloads for it. Unfortunately, the other songs on the album are not even close to this masterpiece. I think Gwen Stefani is very talented, but she should work with very talented song writers (like A. Thiam and G. Tuinfort - the other authors of Sweet Escape). I give 5+ stars for the Sweet Escape and maybe a generous 2 stars for the other songs...
