Technically speaking, these two DVD's were excellent. The video was crystal clear, and the audio was hi-fidelity mono.
Back in the good old days when these movies were first released and I saw them for the first time, it didn't really dawn on me that they were
dealing with some serious issues, especially the "generation gap" and the
issue of good and evil music. It was the rock and roll music acts that
I mostly liked about the movies. Being a Bill Haley fan was the main reason I wanted to see these movies, not to mention some other great
names acts--The Platters "The Great Pretender". Don't take me wrong, I'm an Elvis fan too! But before Elvis there was Bill Haley and the
Comets to whom I must give credit for my long term enjoyment of good
old Rock 'N Roll. If one could, I would draw an all emcompassing cirle
around the years 1955 thru 1964 for the best rock 'n roll music ever created.
I recommend this DVD set because it is just plain old good entertainment,
very predictable plots. All's well that ends well!

The plots are corny for sure but the music is pure unadulterated toe tapping rock and roll. I don't see how anyone over 50 would not enjoy the ride back to the good old days of rock and roll's beginnings. April 29, 2008

This film is about as weak as I remebered it to be when I first saw it 50 years ago. I only took it because it came as a package with Rock Around the Clock March 11, 2007
