I picked up this album on a hunch because they were opening for Riverboat Gamblers and Valient Thorr, and man, oh man. I can't say how thankful I am for shelling out a few bucks for Bazaar Bazaar.

The lyrics and the melodies couldn't flow together any better, and the meshing of both upbeat harmonizing and lower, darker tones throughout the album makes this feel really one-of-a-kind. After owning both this CD and their OUI EP, I can say that I really do have moods where only the Birds of Avalon can satisfy my musical craving. June 24, 2008

This album is awesome - I'm glad they finally released it! I've been waiting and waiting... I've witnessed BOA in concert several times in the past year. It's crazy to hear a band that *in ways* reminds you of so many others, but at the same time has a sound that is totally its own. It's *kind of* classic rock, *kind of* metal, *kind of* new. Who knows how to describe it, other than *it rocks*. If you get to hear them live, they are as great as (or even greater than) the tracks on this album. I loved [Horse Called Dust] and [Superpower] when I first heard them live, but listening to the album I've gotten hooked on [Set You Free] and [Lost Pages From the Robot Repair Manual]. I've heard other songs live that are not on this album, so hopefully they'll work on a 2nd album now. May 24, 2007
