H.I.M. - Uneasy Listening: Vol. 2

Uneasy Listening Vol. 2 is the companion album to Uneasy Listening Vol. 1. Both albums are collections of previously unreleased versions of the band's classic tracks. Uneasy Listening Vol. 2 features rarities and hard-to-find versions of some of HIM's biggest hits. This special album includes demos, remixes, live and alternate studio recordings of the band's heavier repertoire. Much of this material has never before been released and is highlighted by the highly sought after version of "Buried Alive By Love" featured in Bam Margera's CKY4 DVD.

Whereas Uneasy Listening Vol. 1 featured the sentimental side of HIM, Vol. 2 focuses on the band's harder side and all versions have been selected by the band's singer Ville Valo. He explains, "Most of these versions are hard to find nowadays. Fans have frequently been asking us where to find these songs. The songs are also important to the band. They are songs that have allowed us to express our musical perversions." Valo

This is NOT Goth music....

I can't believe anyone would even begin to classify this band as "Gothic." Do people REALLY like them? They are not Goth, they are Glam Rock and not good glam rock either. This is crappy, uninspired stuff--only fit for teenagers, and only the ones without discerning tastes, at that (not trying to denigrate teenagers either, okay--ADULTS somehow like this band as well). Please, at least let's call this what it is--this is pop rock, glam rock, but not GOTH rock or Goth anything. I took it back and got Mephisto Walz...now there's a good Goth band....sorry to disagree with you other reviewers, but in my opinion, this band is VERY over-rated. They simply reek... It differs from the first volume but is good in its own right

The songs on this Cd are loud and wistful. but the first volume has very lovely tracks which flow along well. These are also mostly live. I preferred the first volume and I would not recommend buying this one based on the first. It is good in its own right though. I enjoy it less than the first however. September 26, 2008

Bought this for a Xmas gift. My daughters favorite band. It came quickly as well. December 17, 2007

DON'T EXPECT HARD EDGE MUSIC ON THIS ONE. AS WAS TRUE IN UNEASY LISTENING VOL 1. MAINLY VILLE AND AN ACOUSTIC GUITAR. VILLE'S VOICE IS SO INCREDIBLE AND BEAUTIFUL!!!!! A MUST FOR A HIM FAN!!! November 11, 2007
