About Korn - Untitled
With its membership dwindling down to a scant three members, Korn seems to have come to something of a crossroads––move forward with its tried and true sound or evolve into something that may only vaguely resemble the hype and heft behind Follow the Leader. 2007's somewhat unexpected Unplugged disc proved an interesting but flawed step in a different direction but this self-titled/untitled offering clumsily fumbles when it should grab the ball and run for a season-defining touchdown. "Hold On" and "Do What They Say" come off as soggy sonic oatmeal; "Kiss" channels a very dark Smashing Pumpkins to mixed results; "Bitch We Got a Problem" gives away its best stuff in the title; "Innocent Bystander" and "Starting Over" have three or four great ideas that never reach fruition and the rest of the album ("Killing," "Hushabye") proves fairly forgettable, a sign that Korn may be closer to crumbling than anyone could have imagined. That's too bad 'cause time was it had the makings of a pretty good American band. ––Jedd Beaudoin Amazon.com

Awesome album! The fact that two different awesome drummers contributed to this album adds lots of energy to it. It took several listens to get used to it, I only liked "Starting Over" the first time I heard this album, so give it a fair chance and you'll like it a lot. There's something to like about every track on the album; I like them all, with Innocent Bystander, Killing, and the more mellow Do What They Say, being my favorites. Although this album is great, nothing can top their first albums of KoRn in their rawest and heaviest phases. Now they are in a more experimental phase of their career, still maintaining a dark and heavy sound. I hope they continue to deliver for many more great albums like this one.

Hands down to these guys for still crankin' out records and goin' as hard as they are and that they tried something new but... I have been a diehard Korn fan for about 10 years now and have always loved them for their uniqueness. This album, to me, was way too commercial and it sounded more like it belongs in a sad circus or a dance club.
October 14, 2008As any KoRn fan would know...flop. I find absolutely no need to find any reason to purchase this whole album. Losing Brian...they made due. But with David leaving too...it's no good. What next? James? Bass and vocals. I wonder what the live show would be like.
July 5, 2008This is their best effort to date. Every song is perfect having it's own catchy melody and feel. I have all their albums and this one is my favorite. It seems this album is more experimental than see you on the other side and that makes me like it even more. Five stars.

What the hell is this? One of the worst albums ever... this cd is NOT hard or heavy, so everyone saying it is, just shut the hell up. Listen to any Heaven Shall Burn CD, or Scars of Tomorrow's "Rope Tied to the Trigger," or even Revolution/Revolucion by Ill Nino... this cd is not hard. Follow the Leader, then Issues were awesome CDs, then Korn died, in my eyes.
