About LindstrA¸m - LateNightTales
Hans-Peter Lindstrom is best known for the cosmic Disco smash 'I Feel Space' and his energetic DJ/live laptop jams with Prins Thomas, but he actually grew up on a diet of Country, Gospel and even Metal, spending his formative years as a musician gigging in bands with scruffy hair. He must have held onto a lot of those old records because his home-listening comp for Azuli’s long-running LateNightTales series goes way back, finding space for Carly Simon, George Duke, Dusty Springfield and '70s rocker Todd Rundgren amid more recent offerings. The unmixed CD also include an exclusive Lindstrom cover of Vangelis' 'Let It Happen' as well as a new track from Todd Terje and Prins Thomas 'Regnbågan.' Azuli. 2007. Album Description

User Reviews
Average user review:| Took a few listens, but I ultimately found it's groove. |
It definitely took me until about the 3rd listen to really warm up to some of the tracks. After that, I find it sets a very enjoyable background mood, full of interesting sounds and songs I would never have listened to otherwise. The LateNightTales, Back To Mine, and DJ-Kicks series are all about introduction to new, lost gems in the music world, and I'm definitely entertained by what Lindstrøm has brough to the table in this mix. It's a fine flowing mix, with very interesting stuff to kick back to and enjoy. February 24, 2008
